  1. Allright, heres the deal. After talking to lots of people both at our shows and here in HQ we are ready to try a new event. Now keep in mind that all of this is not yet set in stone but I will say it is at least allready 95% ready to run. We are planning on having saturday night drags here in Coffeyville on June 30th. The races would start somewhere around 6:00pm and we will run the brackets and then grudge matches up untill midnight. Depending on the turnout we should have at least 3hrs more than likely 4hrs to grudge run. The cost would be $20.00 dollars for contestants, (that takes care of all entries for the night) and $3 for spectators. You will still be required to be a dead end racing member to compete which is only $3 for the year. We are finishing up the specifics such as the classes and awards, and also the types of entertainment. The focus of this entire night will souley be about drag racing and having a blast. We will have all the dj equipment out so we can race and party Everyone let me know what you think of this idea and who all would like to attend. Any questions or input give me a shout
  2. Hey us guys at Dead End Racing are looking for a good used box tiller for the back of a tractor. I can not find one so far anywhere around home. It does need to be reasonably close to coffeyville gas is to damn high. Let me know what ya got if ya got anything at all
  3. Hey man whats going on with ya I havenot heard from ya in a while
  4. Thanks to all who made it down, and to those who couldn't we hope to see you in june check deadendracing.proboards102.com for the dates. It was a great day no major accidents, We did have a new 1st place outlaw winner who was jeff gillman on his 4mill cub on gas. I am trying to get all the results together and I hope to paste them all on her asap. Our fund raiser went real well, we had 94 entries in the drags which were awesome. We our still working on making the track better but we will get there. Look for more exciting attractions to come at our shows. If anyone knows of a box tiller for sale that goes on the back of a tractor we are looking for one give me a pm. A little toot of the ol horn for the Dead End Guys, Bob took 2nd in the oulaw drags 2nd in the outlaw shodeo 2nd in the 2 stroke water drags, Andy Vail took first inthe 400cc and below 4 stroke drags, Dead End Racing swept the 2 stroke water shodeo with Dustin taking first, Bob taking 2nd, and myself getting 3rd. Dustin was our big outlaw shodeo winner this month
  5. Well the races are tomorrow, are any of you hqers gonna make it up, over, or down. The weather is going to be awesome, and the local competition is very stiff. Come to the races and see how you fair and help raise money for cancer research while doing so  :woot:
  6. The forecast for sunday so far is calling for sunny and 79 degrees should make for a killer day
  7. I know it is kind of early to start, but if we start later it is 8:00 or 9:00 pm b4 we are done and then it is a late night for everyone. The reason we do them on sunday has alot to do with scheduling conflicts for everyone. Ther are many activities which take place through the summer such as baseball, softball, and all the kids sports and activities. And they pretty much happen mainly on saturdays. We try are hardest to accomodate everyone but it is extremely hard. If you are from the topeka area you can get here in less than 3 hrs door to door unless you are on the very north edge. I drive to topeka every tuesday and from the south edge I can be back in coffeyville in a box truck in 2.5 hrs. Believe it or not we have people come from farther maybe not to everyone, but several. We would love to have ya down if you can find the time to make it, but I know it is a busy world.
  8. well she is getting around alot better now and slowly weaning off the pain meds, I told her she earned a new nickname Judibeth the "xtreme!" thanks for the concern all. The races start at 10:00am like always at the coffeyville interstate fairgrounds you must be registerd by 9:30am the drags start first. My shee barely took any damage at all, I wish it had received most of the blows instead of her, it is a toy and much easier to replace but she is bouncing back. Hope to see everyone there, we are begining to get alot of newcomers coming in and the competition is getting stiffer. I am hoping for a large turnout due to the fact we are trying to raise money for the relay for life, it is a great cause. It means alot to me espically having a grandmother who just passed away from cancer the week before the last show. It has been a rough few weeks in my household, but enough of my boohooing. see ya at the races.
  9. Well I myself am not for sure of the results of the last race either because I had to leave shortly after they started because my wife was drag racing on my shee and flipped it after her 3rd run and broke 5 ribs and her clavical. She had to have surgery and have a small plate put in her shoulder. She is doing well now just really sore and thankful for the meds. I could be wrong but I doubt it but I believe Andy Meek won the outlaw class again. Andy correct me if I am wrong.
  10. how many hqers plan on making it this month

  18. Whats up thanks Andy for throwing up a pic, The track did get a little loose but they should have the water turned back on at the arena so we can use our watering system and keep the track much better all day. Wedges did seem to work the best untill it got packed and dry then they spun we hope to have that all worked out. That was the first time we ever ran on that particular track and I think we have all the bugs worked out We hope. Cant wait to see everyone there
  19. I will tell him about these I actually go to topeka once a week, I will see if he is interested. His bike is only piped and jetted with a coolhead. I haven't rode it yet to see if it would pull those allright
  20. I will let him know doesn't sound bad but I don't know how hard it would be to find caps
  21. we always have done that, but things were a little hectic being the first show and all and we had a few probs with the lights and were running a little behind but that should be no prob for the april show
  22. So are you really only going to drag and not shodeo. you have to do the shodeo they are a blast a few more times and you will get your times down. They are addictive, its all about fun and ridding the shee
