  1. Can you by just the toomey needle? Where?
  2. When you say 4th clip do you mean to drop or raise the needle? Richen it up or Lean it out?
  3. Mine currently has 280 main, and 27.5 pilot, needle in stock position,(middle clip) with air screws about 2 turns out(I think thats too much). Should I return to the stock 25 pilot, leave the needle, and adjust air screws and go from there? I've read that my needle should be on the #4 clip but I don't know. Mods are Toomey T-5's Boyseen Rad valves&reed cages Pro Design Pro Flow Filter Pro Design Pro Flow Filter Adapter Plate Boost Bottle No Lid on air box Stock Carbs w/280 main, 27.5 pilot, needle on middle clip Someone also said at my elevation (370ft) I should start my jetting at about 320 on fourth clip and adjust from there is this correct?
  4. Just read a post on this website about a banshee not running with the throttle slides in correct (with the cutout facing the airbox). I personally just realized the same thing on mine, the slide cutout is facing the reeds, mine has ran fine since I bought it with the slides in that way, should the cutout really be facing the airbox? if so what will I have to do to keep it running that way? I did put the slides in cutout facing airbox once but I had to push or pull start it after that and it would not idle and it just didn't run well at all. Thanks for your replies as I thought the cutout was supposed to face the reeds.
  5. Lower needle clip one clip for the reeds, my clip needs to be on the #4 notch from the blunt end or #2 from the tip of needle? Sorry but I'm still learning about the needle clips, never messed with them before
  6. Currently have Toomey T-5's, Pro Flow Filter and Adapter, No Air Box Lid, Boost Bottle, and Boyseen Rad Valves. Could someone tell me about what size jets would be best for these mods, or where to start, also what clip should my needle be on?
  7. It's not only hard to start when it's cold, at first it would start fine once it was warmed up but now I have to wait about ten minutes after a good ten minute ride or it's a pain to start. The plugs are a little lighter than a hershey bar, would low compression make takeoff slugish after warmed up? because when I first start it I can let it idle for about a minute or two and go to the road and come to an idle in first gear and if I hit the throttle the power hits instantly, but after I ride for about ten minutes I try that and it just hesitates for a while and gradually hits but not near as hard? Also before I forget there are two small black hoses that run under the tank to the front of my shee an just dangle there and one of then drips water (not worried about that one) but the other one drips my gear oil all over my header, sometimes it will just spit a good wod of the oil out of there, why is this? too full or something? Also when i tear down my carbs what notch would you recommend I put the needle clip back in?
  8. Hello, this is my first post here, and I would just like to say Hi and thanks for letting me be a part of bansheehq, with that said here is my question, About two months ago I paid $1800.00 for a 99 Banshee, when I bought it the temp was around 40 degrees and it took probably 50 kicks to fire it up since it hadn't been ridden in about amonth plus it was so cold, it ran perfect except for the fact that the power band seems to just drop off after about 1 to 2 seconds at full throttle. It will only fire on the first kick if it is (HOT) outside, and once I ride it for a while it becomes hard to start (takes about ten kicks) I don't know if it's just because it's hot or if maybe I need to adjust carbs, or rejet or something, also when I sart it and let it warm up and go for a ride the power band kicks in very easilly in all gears(very snappy) but once its ridden for a couple minutes I have to rev it pretty hard to hit the power band, and t doesn't pull nearly as hard, do I need to rejet or something? My current mods engine wise are Toomey T-5's, Carbon Fiber Boyseen Rad Valves, Boost Bottle, Pro Design Pro Flow Filter and Adapter with no air box lid, stock carbs with 27.5 and 280 jets. What size jetting would you recommend for my banshee at I think about 370 ft elevation around 70 to 80 degrees? Sorry for such a long post
