I know this is going to be a tough sale, if it sells at all, but figured I'd give it a shot because I will never ride this Shee the way it should be ridden and I'm building a custom motorcycle this winter and could use the funds. I built this Shee from scratch in 2009 after parting out and working on bikes for years. Everything's gone through and done right. I rode it for 20 hours that year and then kept it in my heated garage ever since. I figured I'd ride it a ton in the woods but got into enduros instead after I got tired of running from the Man. The Shee is in great shape, it has 2 minor quirks that need to be sorted out but I don't have the time: 

    1. Left side carbs drips when petcock is on and the bike isn't running. I just completely went through the carbs but the float must be stuck. I tried tapping on it to no avail. I don't have anytime to take it back apart otherwise I would. Should be an easy fix and if it's a total deal breaker for someone interested I will break it down and fix it.

    2. Rear brake pads need to be replaced and rear brake needs to be bled. I drained the fluid to replace it but didn't get any further. I have the pads just again, out of time. I hate bleeding brakes so I probably won't do this even if it's a deal breaker.

    I need to get $3,800 to part with this garage decoration. That's my bottom dollar and if it doesn't sell for that I don't mind hanging onto it. I'm not hurting for cash. I have no interest in parting it out at this time. I have a ton of dough into it but I know, like anything else, I don't have a snowball's chance in hell at getting that back out of it. I have no idea the market for Shees today so if I'm way off please feel free to lemme know. This seemed fair to me based on what others were selling for. So here's the details:

    - 2001 Banshee, no title, clear VIN, I can provide notarized bill of sale if desired
    - 2nd bore, new pistons and rings, 20 hours total run time, 125psi compression both cylinders, done by FAST with a light cleanup/woods port
    - Nology coils
    - Cool head, 22cc domes
    - Boyesen RAD Valves
    - Stock carbs, synched and jetted for the setup, stock airbox with lid but no snorkel
    - Paul Turner Mids, powdercoated high temp black
    - Oversized billet radiator
    - Roundhouse -1 swinger with TCS rebuilt rear, setup for woods and 180lb rider
    - Lonestar +2 a-arms with Elka double rate fronts, woods and 180lb rider
    - Powdercoated, gusseted frame
    - Hi-per carbon fiber wheels with Holeshot XCRs??
    - Aluminum Frame skid and Swingarm skid
    - Tag front bumper, fresh black powdercoat
    - Hella incan lights with mounting bracket
    - Oversized IMS gas tank
    - Lexan glass clutch cover with stock clutch, basket and plate look good, clutch has 20 hours on it
    - YFZ 450 dual piston front brakes
    - G Force wide rear axle with aluminum sprocket and brake hubs
    - ASV levers with PowerMadd hand guards
    - Renthal Bars with bar risers
    - Wiring harness gone through and extra plugs removed, done the right way, absolutely no electrical gremlins here.

    I also have tons of spare parts leftover from years of parting out Shees. I have extra radiators, plastics, hubs, spindles, etc, etc. You're welcome to any and all of it with the purchase of this shee.

    I'm from Piscataway originally but I just moved down to the Pineys last November, right off 206 near Atsion. I got big into the bikes too because there's so many more places to ride. Reading Anthracite is fun but it's a hike. I can ride bikes right out my back porch.

    What's up dude?! I worked in Port Reading for a couple years, never saw any shees up that way. D ya have any places to ride in Jers? I used to go out to either PA Gamelands or Reading Anthracite because I could never find any place in the area. I'v been into enduros for the past 7 years now because there's so many more places to ride.

  4. Cool, thanks, when I parked this I only had about 10 hours on the cylinders so I'll prob keep those stock for now. Good to know though. I've been out of the game for a long time.

    I bought the Tag about 10 years ago. I always wanted IMS Heel Guards but they were impossible to find even like 10 years ago.

    I think I remember Sheerider. Is this chick still around?

  5. Hey guys, I used to be pretty active on here but got pulled away for work and enduros and Jeeps but I have some free time so I'm back again. Anyway, long story short my Banshee hasn't run since 2010. I have good compression and spark, turns over really easy. I drained out all the old gas. It did have Startron stabilizer in it when parked in 2010. I plan to put in a gallon over the weekend to see if she runs before I try to pull the carbs. I was wondering if anyone can recommend anythin else? I'll put fresh oil and coolant in her too.

    Also, I've been out of the hobby for 8 years now. Has much changed? Any cool new go fast parts? I used to ride mostly woods and trails and I'm really wanting to get back into it. My buddy has a 450r and rides Reading Anthracite almost every weekend. Anyone know any good, legal, trails around the S Jersey area?

    Wow, I didn't realize they took a hit like that, I used to see shitty bikes going for 2k+ all day long. I had an offer of 3500 and I felt that was a little low. I know these are worth much less after all the parts, but I was hoping to get half of what I had into back out, which would be around the 4 range. Guess that's a little bit of pipe dream now.

     

    I'll have to do some hard thinking about that 3500. I LOVE the shee but I never ride it, it just sits.

  7. Hey guys, I was hoping you might be able to help me with figuring out a price I might be able to get for my 2001 Banshee. First off, I know it's totally custom and custom shit is hard to sell, especially something in a small a niche as a woods Banshee. I know I'd be much better off to part it out, but I don't want to do that, I'd rather just keep it in one pice as I'm not in a bind for the cash and I really wouldn't mind hanging onto it. also, I know it is worth "what someone is willing to pay for it". I have had a couple offers and I'm trying to see if they really stack up. Anyway, here is the shee I built from the ground up, all new seals, turned every nut and bolt 2 years ago. It's got a ton of stuff. Just wondering what you guys would think would be a fair price. Thanks guys!!

    Biggest mods are:

     

    -1 Swinger and matching TCS rebuilt rear

    +2+1 LSR arms and Elka rec shocks

    PT Mids

    Cleanup port on fresh bore done by FAST, still makes 125# only has 5~8 hours on motor

    Oversize Rad Torchworks

    YFZ front brakes

    HiPer wheels and Holeshot HD tires, 90% tread left, wheels are 95%

    Also have a ton of spare parts to go with. Basically stock parts and stuff I never got around to selling from the 5 banshees I've parted out over the years.

     

    PCd Frame, gussetted, most parts have fresh PC

    Every seal and nut and bolt gone through at rebuild 2 years ago, this motor is tight.

  8. Kick Starter, has rattle, could be rebuilt or run as is. Was PCed blue, and has some paint on it. Should clean up just nice. $12 shipped.

    i don't think that gouge can be bored out of the cylinder. on top of that, the liner is cracked. description- "useable with cosmetic signs"........."needs bored"...

    I have parted out a few of these bikes and it AMAZES me the price that Minkia is able to get for shit. I either throw or give away a lot of parts this guy is getting $200+ for. Kinda makes me wish I had no conscience.

    A stock stator, ligthing coil, pikcup coil and charging coil all good. Ohm readings are written on the post it in the picture, all lie within Clymers specs. Came off of a running working bike. Only bad thing is that the plug end was cut off. Includes the timing plate and pickup coil. 35 shipped.
