alright heres the deal.. theres a 1999 banshee for sale a few hours away from me.. the buddy whos selling it is letting it go for 1500 canadian.. well the only problem is that he said he blew a piston all to shit. i guess a part of it basically broke off.. so im figuring it mighta done damage to the bottom end but he says that he found the peices of piston in the exhaust pipe so he doesnt think any of it went down in the bottom.. what would you guys think could be damaged besides the piston and rings? need to deiced if im gettin it in a few hours

does a longer crank reduce reliabilit any?

he has a good point. just cuz its really hot dont mean its overheating..they all get hot if there pinned..

racing on what? pavement or gravel? either way the ktm should win

so everone here would go with a 450?

yeah must be cuz i raced him last night on a 350 raptor and he didnt win by a whole lot... just down a strait road. so with same level skilled riders how far should a 450 be ahead?is it worth the extra money and maitnance

i'v seen kfx400's stay right with a 450r tho..so there cant be a huge difference..probly alot more snappy but they were side by side..450 once but like a foot

so how about performance wise?

as long as you change the oil and stuff often how much more often will a 450 blow up than a 400? i would drive everyday for at least an hour or 2. plus whats the difference in performance? is it huge?

really? im not worried about it to much its just where i ride its alot of stair line 6th gear to the pines riding and wanted to make sure i could ride liek that for a wehile eithout running out.. sorry to ask so many questions but is it easy to keep a banshee on 2 wheels? i know it must be harder than a 4stroke but is it hard to do a long wheelie?

i dont think a 400ex woulda have half the power i want.. im used to a kx 250 so a 400 would probly feel like a dinky toy

well frig.. looks like i might have to get a 450.. which sucks cuz they cost like twice what a used banshee does

it isnt really a huge deal how bad it is.. just that i would like ot be able to go a few hours wideopen without running out of gas.. but power is important 2.. how long does a tank last in a shee going right to the nuts?

IM selling a 2003 kx 250 in excelent shape for 3000 canadian.. which is a really good deal becasue the bike has nothing wroing with it and has never been blown up.. need the money to buy a 2000 banshee..message me if anyones interested
