  1. The pipe coming off the exhaust flange is larger on the big bore pipes.. almost the same size as the flange its self.. On the small bores the pipe after the flange is quite a bit smaller then the flange.
  2. if you ran it with the clutch out of adjustment.. you probably burnt the pack. Maybe Jeff will chime in with the specs of his fibers.. But if it was me.. I'd be buying a new pack..
  3. Mod quad does have great service.. I got nothing but great things to say about them.
  4. I should be there on 19th and staying through.. I should be staying at the RV resort or Jellystone Post up where your staying! edit: sites booked at silver creek.
  5. from what I'm hearing from everyone.. the fast bikes will be out there on the 23rd. So if your looking to do some racing to go along with the dune riding.. or just want to see some fast bikes run. the 23rd would be a better choice. As of right now I know of about 15 people making it on the weekend of the 23rd I usually setup the HQ ride on the 3rd weekend after the 4th of July to give people time to rebuild their bikes and bank accounts from the holiday.
  6. ok.. now I'm confused.. You say your current paddles dont hook enough.. but you have no problem keeping the front down by sitting on the tank? At 230# with a +6 swinger.. you should have plenty of tire with a 22" 10pdl extreme.
  7. The key to good filtration is in the oil. This applies to both filter types. The gauze filter dont offer the same level of filtration as a foam filter. I will not run a qauze type filter without a pre-filter. If you hold up a K&N into the light.. you can see the holes. This is why oil is required. AS stated by K&N and which is why they come pre-oiled. The foam filters do the best job with filtration.. Not much shit will get past a foam filter as long as its properly oil. The more tacky the oil.. the better! I like Bel-Ray foam filter oil and PJ1 Super tacky. Once you use it.. you'll know why not much will get through that filter. Also.. keep in mind with that some of the knock off K&N type (gauze) filters are not made the same as actual K&N brand filters.. Some of the cheaper filters are only 2 ply while the K&N are 4ply.. Something to look into when buying these type of filters.
  8. what pressure do you run them at? and whats the rider weight and swing arm length?

  16. Not true.. Thats only on holiday weekends. you will need spark arrestors and a flag though. You will need a parking lot voucher.. but you dont have to wait in line at 6am.
  17. sounds like the shock is trashed and need of a rebuild.. Send it to Socal suspensions.. He'll rebuild it and set it up for you.
  18. just send yours to So. Cal suspension and have it rebuilt. The stock rear shock is actually a nice shock.. just needs a lil message.
  19. I only use the 10x4's with the smaller 18" tires. Maybe a pound or 2 in weight. The narrow rim will make the tire taller but not as wide.
  20. 10x6 makes the tire wide.. great flotation
  21. I have no idea.. I was trying to get soemthing together. but I wasn't getting much input. I'll be in higgins lake on the 15-17th I'm gonna try to get out to silver on for the 23rd.
