  1. Its not really about 450's.. Its more about the modern 4-strokes not gettin the credit they deserve.
  2. I couldn't have said it better myself.. Dave.. your so good with words. Perhaps you should write the first HQ banshee handbook. Send it in the mail to all the new members. The first chapter would cover boost bottles! :yelrotflmao:
  3. I'll take my shee in full doses all day long.... Just as long as its on the drag track or the strip in the dunes!
  4. But if it has a boost bottle.. Then thats not stock!
  5. I agree, I think the basics need to be done first (pipes, filters, and reeds)
  6. I'm not saying it can't be done, anything is possible.. But them times are just flat out rippen for a stock cylinder 350 with a stock chassis.. I dunno..... I guess its just one of those things..
  7. pipes, filters and reeds would definately put you back into the game and shouldn't cost you more then $700 spend the other 300 on some new rubber if your still sportin the stock tires.
  8. I think alot of people are gonna have a hard time believing those times without proof... those time with No override and on gas with a stock unlightend frame is kinda a tuff pill to swallow.. Like Dave said.. The fastest 350 in the country is running 3.8's and 3.9's with a full drag chassis and all lightweight parts, override on alky with a light wieght jocky.. and his times are only off by .05 in a stock chassis?
  9. Its them fast tracks again Dave.. Have'em bring them bikes up here and them 4.3's will turn into 5.3's
  10. My 450 has its share of 2 stroke kills under its belt... Its also got its share of losses.. One thing I found is that switching bikes dosn't really make it even. I let BansheeDan ride my shee at the track and he was 3 tenths slower then my times and he's 100lbs lighter.
  11. I have a buddy who bought a 06 KFX 400. He LOVES it! You can't really hate on the raptor 660's too much.. Gotta remember when they came out in 01'.. they set the standard for Hi-performance 4 strokes.. But I do like the new 700 rappy better! My next quad will be a 700 or a 03 or newer 660. Depending on what I find for the right price.
  12. I wouldn't trade my yfz450 for anything. You guys keep saying that 450's are $7000 tirds blah blah blah... You just have to remind yourselves what the 450's were designed for. I'm pretty sure it wasn't straight line racing. Gotta give some credit where its due.. These new 4 strokes are some VERY nice machines.
  13. As of right now its sittin with a +6 swinger and has no pipes.. ::
  14. What type of track are you talking about? Sebawing has a nice MX track.. I'm not sure how far that is from flint though.. If i had to guess.. I'd say about 45min or so.
  15. I had to buy new intakes when I switched from 35's to 39's
  16. yeah I figured if your building from scratch you'd need that stuff anyways.
  17. I was thinkin the same thing.. "why didn't that guy use a ring terminal on the ground??"
  18. anyword on how thick the ice is? I gotta get my jet kit back from my cuz and get my 450 rockin!! Hopefully they're some mild banshee for my 450 to play with.
  19. I didn't say anything about a cub. I bet if you priced a 14mil cheetah it would be pretty close to a 10mil cub. But on a side note I have seen a 14mil cub run VERY VERY well..
  20. methanol attracts water/moisture.
  21. Imagine a 14mil.. A 14mil crank is only 125-150 more then a 10mil. If your spending 4-500 more then a 4mil.. why stop at 10?
  22. I think the 4mil is the best "intro" motor for drag racing. You get a competative motor and the initial cost is low so you can get alot of the extra's that are going to be needed with the higher HP drag bikes. But dont let the "intro" part fool ya. They can and do run VERY well if set up properly. No sense in spending big money on a big motor then skimping on the chassis setup. Its the complete package that makes the bike fast. Not just the motor.
  23. If it was me.. I'd look into a set of GT performance drag arms.. Very nice and they're different looking from your everyday drag arms. http://www.gtperf.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=397
  24. 4.14 and 4.19 are my two fastest times at 2 different tracks 4mil cub on alky, overide with 220lb rider. BansheeDan was running high 4.9's with stock 350cc cylinder no overide on gas with a very mild trail port from A&S.
  25. No problem, Thanks for the shaw!
