  1. after i bumped the thread, i got a PM about a sleeve. if it falls thru, i will hollar at you!
  2. its still available. trade for a modded blaster, 400ex, Warrior, 4x4, dirtbike, daily beater car/truck (S-10/CRX etc.), older streetbike, something else? i need too move it!
  3. bump needed bushing sleeve for lower a-arm and main jets (290-300-310-320) for stock carbs. will trade my 280's for any of the above mains
  4. well in that case, the bike feels very stable at high speed. not twitchy at all. it is alot more responsive but not dangerous responsive by any means! so far i have hit high speed turns and small high speed jumps (deep and very wide ditch, over a mile long with 10 or so access roads, the small jumps at speed, crossing it into farmers fields). i'm not an expert on the bump steer subject (obviously), but i feel completely comfortable at 6th gear pinned in that rough ditch! thanks for the break down! and i have seen pictures of the Sundahl frame...very wicked design!
  5. trade ya the camaro for that 400ex...
  6. you ever rode that offroad park in Pekin, by the prison? i've been there once. it sucks bad IMO. i guess it owuld be OK if i was closer to it, but for an hours drive it is not worth it.
  7. thanks for that class! i havent noticed how you described bump steer. but it could be because i didnt know exactly what to look for either and just made an assumption on what i thought it to be. maybe its just me but i never noticed it when the shee was was stock either. i could just be more tolerable on this issue then others, just dont notice things like that or or it was minute enuf that it didnt affect me. or a handful of other reasons. what negative effects can bump steer have?
  8. bike looks 50 times better without the camo plastics! my bike is in Dekalb all the time. next time i'm up that way, i'll shoot you a pm and see whats going on
  9. hmmm. i see now, looked like it was out the overflow. still cheesey IMO
  10. Ace Hardware, Lowes, Menards. just get one that is made for higher temps i think that DIY setup is cheesy, utilizing a poultry temp guage lol. and still you are reading temps from the radiator, not temps in the exit hose out of the motor i would think when you are reading temps coming out of the overflow spout, that its too late... plus, being in the overflow path, that would require a constant flow wouldnt it? to get accurate readings all the time.
  11. hahaha damn the mental picture of that description is funny (but not also, like you said) i had a '93 RM80 for a few months and was going to teach my G/F too ride on it. but after riding it myself for awhile, there was absolutely no way i was about to let her ride that thing. she would have killed or seriously injured herself on it. needless to say, i sold it after i took a dive off of it. hell, i even bought a thumb throttle that i was going to put on it for her but i still couldnt convince myself to let her take it out by herself IMO, chicks that dont ride should learn on 4 wheels, or its bound to get ugly atleast once when on 2 wheels (especially a 2-stroke mini) maybe look for an XR80/XR100 or something like that if it has too be 2 wheels are the TTR's auto?
  12. lmao i like the disclaimer he put in there tho, these guys are getting smarter and smarter ::
  13. i wondered about these also.
  14. if you can't tell, i like to do things for as little $ as possible. kind of adds to the fun in it. i think with this tho, i will just get a +4 axle! thanks for the info fellas!
  15. it definately has more plush landings, especially when coming down nose first! i couldnt be happier! thanks for the info! after riding today (about 2hrs. worth) i didnt notice any bump steer, or anything odd that made it hard to handle or uncomfortable
  16. still learning too jump so dont bag on me  G/F's camera sucks for motion shots. its hard as hell to time it right found a little jump to hit, probably hit it about 50 times or so. top of 2nd. i've yet to hit anything in 3rd few nose heavy landings too, still ticking http://i7.tinypic.com/2m5y16q.jpg http://i15.tinypic.com/44jqbz4.jpg http://i10.tinypic.com/49gh4cg.jpg cutting a cookie http://i7.tinypic.com/2vsgk85.jpg very pleased, with this.
  17. ahh, i guess i dont have the new one then lol you use a G-force axle?
  18. good point! i'll be damned if i saw those in RMATV, and i have the new catalog. i like too jump, but i dont MX jump, might get 4-5-6ft in the air.
  19. thank you too Steve, for the quick payment
  20. interesting. hmmm, i will just go buy some dot4 to be on the safe side.
  21. stock master on my '03 says dot4 i figured probably nothing only reason i asked is all cars i have ever done brake jobs on, i used only what the master cap said to!
  22. OK, so i have never done much reading up on brake fluid, who has? anyway, i have around the shee, some DOT3 and some DOT5. problem is the brake reservoir says DOT4 is to be used only. why? what is the difference? whats going to happen if i use DOT3 or DOT5?
  23. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Brand-NEW-E...1QQcmdZViewItem EDIT: oops, that particular auction os for forged, i have also seen a billet version i would think they are a better alternative to "spacers" but obviously not as good as a +4 axle. just curious who on here uses them and what they have to say about them? thanks
  24. Happy Turkey Day everyone!
