  1. damn sucks to seee but great to see ur up and at it so fast... howwas the head and base gasket any sign of any coolant leak... i have seen a couple banshees take a dump from bad seal and or gasket.. the best thing everyone recommends is o-ring insted of gaskets. the only guess i have for this is a coolant leak.... cant base my other idea of fuel because the other cylinder and piston look fine... the jetting doesnt seem it can cause this much damage with u being close to perfect jetting as possible if u where way off!!!!! i could imagine but this isnt the case... good luck -lumi
  2. if hes freind did, there gonna be some pretty marks on the piston. anyways if it idles fine in my experience the carb shouldnt be too dirty.... check your carb tunning, change plugs, and put some 93 octane in there. see how she runs and were she sputters the most. check the air filter aswell... carb being dirty would be a wore ripped air filter or gas sitting in the carb for a long time. if this all doesnt resolve nothing take that top end off, and good for nothing those pistons can be tmie for a change.. good luck -lumi
  3. i dunno my elevation im in brooklyn new york and its about 40 degrees right now. doesnt look like any airleaks everything seems nice and tight between the carbs and the boots / hoses. tors is still on it
  4. no it dile's low really low but what should i do to the fuel screw? is there only one? in or out which makes it leaner/richer? thanks alot.
  5. hi i have a 2000 yamaha banshee and i just put new wiesco pistons and rings in and i bored the cylinder over .40, also i put a new clutch in. i have the airbox with K&n filter on and lid on with no snorkle.i broke it in with about a tank and the second tank just rode hard sometimes and easy and now my third tank it barely idles and when i go idle to try to give it gas it bogs from low to mid range, and than from mid to high it is perfect. when i put the choke half way in the bike runs mint. the gas from the hose or reservior hose from the carb i think leaks alot aswell. i have a 280 main jet in there and i havent touch anything else. i run 32:1 maxima castro 93 octane. please any help much aprreciate thanks alot in advance.
  6. not gonna see my bike until monday im in upstate i live in brooklyn but it takes about 2-4 kicks or maybe less sometimes thats with choke. without takes alot more. especially when cold. when warm starts up pretty quick 2 kicks. i will try cleaing carbs and filter and unplugging the tors system will see how it goes once i get back, if that dont work i will have to do some carb playing. thanks for the replys tho guys.
  7. whats the easiest way to disconect it, thanks for reply.
  8. hi my banshee for some reason out of nowhere , has a super low idle almost dying, and bogs when i try to rev it out of its low idle. it bogs at like 1/3 throttl and i have to give it 2/3 throttle ( half throttle) to get it to run normal and when i let off the gas it starts to rev low again and when i try to rev it, it bogs again. not a major problem but anyyoing. i have everything stock except for a set of wiesco pistons and a K&n with box and lid ,no snorkle. do not no what needles and stuff in it the guy at the shop did it. i am mixing castro 32:1. thanks alot in advance
  9. this is a little off topic but i heard this from someone on this forum and they said if you let your banshee idle for too long it will foul the plug. my freind lets his banshee idle for a minute, minute and a half no problem. also i never fouled a plugt at idle and i let my engines sit and idle for a period of time. thanks in advance for replys
