  1. Just wondering why you couldn't just go up a gear.
  2. Does the guy who brought his Banshee get his avatar and post numbers?
  3. There's a bunch of extra parts for this truck also, but I can't get to it right now. All the boats are in the way and my Dodge has a busted brake line and my Massey or John Deere won't start. And I refuse to mountain goat it over the boats.
  4. What size are your tires? Here's your rpm's. 8978 rpm's with 22 tires. 9869 rpm's with 20's 10979 rpm's with 18's I'll bet your running 20's.
  5. I'll be ready to make the trip in about 3 weeks. I don't want us to say anything final till we can see what we're both trading. I'll need the vin right before I leave cause I'll have to sign some insurance papers before then. I'm very impressed with your bike and looking forward to seeing/owning/riding it. I think your see that pictures don'ts show this truck well. It's much better in person. It looks/drives/sounds great.
  6. I like that truck, we put a Winsor in a ranger once, it was our first engine swap. That thing was unreal. It wasn't really that fast, couldn't get traction. But it was the burn out king. I think I'm going to get a Jeep Wrangler this summer after this truck goes. Thanks anyway though.
  7. And ever you do don't look directly at the spark without goggles, no matter how pretty it is. JK
  8. Wouldn't surprise me if it was more than that. Mine does 9750 rpm. I have mx porting and PT mids. I figured my rpms. backwards. I knew mine top speed, used a gps. It was 71-72. I put in my tires and gearing and keeped changing my rpms till I got the top speed of around what I was really getting. It came out to 9750 rpm.
  9. Very, very little rust and no rot all. It has been very well care for. The cab corners maybe repairable. I just think if I fixed it I'd replace them, it would be very easy to match and blend the paint back in that spot. And that way I know it wouldn't be less likely to rust back. Cab corners are always a bad spot for rust.
  10. It could use cab corners,(100? dollars DIY) and tires sometime in the next 30K(300 to 500 dollars). It has a dent in the tailgate(new skin 100 dollars?DIY) and the tailgate is also new. It has a crappy stereo and the headunit needs cleaned(free DIY). Won't play CD's when it cold. The air is converted, but is going to need recharged.(15 dollars, DIY) That's the worst of it. It's in better shape than trucks that are few years old, except the things I mentioned.
  11. I have reciept for everything. If I remember right around 80K on the motor and 40K on the transmission, I would have to look at the reciepts to be sure. Both were brand new from GM.
  12. I had water in it from may last ride also. It is leaking. Thanks for the guys for the answers.
  13. It's a little dusty, it's been parked awhile. I only try to drive it when it's nice out. With it being winter it stays in the barn alot now.
  14. Can anyone tell me what brand timing plate this is? It has 10 degrees either way. Another question. I look like it set on 0 or .05 degress advance is this right? What do you guys think?
  15. I sent you email, but got them returned. Send an email to me at [email protected] and I'll reply back.
  16. Sure give me about an hour or so.
  17. I've had alot of offers for this truck. Nothing final so far. Anyone interested let me know. I have alot more pictures. I'm wanting to take a road trip in the next few weeks so, don't think your to far away, just let me know. I may be wilingl to make the trip. Just don't need this thing anymore. Other wise I may be forced to sell it to this kid next door I really hate, would rather run it off a cliff then see what he's going to do to it.
  18. I don't know, I have to think about it. It's a good looking truck, looks like it be a blast on the trails.
  19. Found another picture.
  20. That's not a bad looking bike. There's no such thing as an ugly Banshee.(I have a feeling I'm going to get proven wrong) But anyway Welcome. I'm new here myself. I have an 02. Where are you from?
  21. Seems to me like he's asking about what their going for in your area. Truck and car prices are different area by area. The body does look rust free, and it looks like it's a good truck. I'd be scared of the high miles. I'd bet the motor goes soon and the transmission can't be soon after that. Even if it was babied 250K is still high. If you going to beat on it expect a new motor for sure. If you have to put 1000 to 2000 for a motor than your'll have 3000 to 5000 in it and every truck you showed us was less than that. Other than that, you know the truck better than us. You can also get a good used motor, if it goes out. I'm wondering though are you sure it's a 3/4 ton. It only has the 6 lug wheels. It isn't a heavy half. I've seen light 3/4's but not very many, at least around here.
  22. I would get a bill of sale for sure. Then contact you local Department of Natural resurces or you local license branch, maybe even your local law enforcement. One of them could tell you.
  23. I've seen pictures of the gun and it looks very real. It was a Beretta and I've own several and I couldn't tell you the differance. Now put that in someone's hands and point it at you and give yourself .005 seconds to decide real or not, life or dealth and see how you decide. They gave him every chance to give up, he choose to point the gun at them. I think they handle it as well as it could of been. It's ashame a kid died over it, but when your an officer you have a fraction of a second to make a life or dealth decision, while the public has a forever to crititze it.
  24. What's to keep someone from taking the shotgun and shooting old killer and then you and then taking your Banshee? Trust me I have guns and I have dogs and I've been robbed.
  25. Enclosed are nice to have and you can back up to a wall or something so there's not enough room to open the doors. Just in case someone trys to cut the locks then it won't matter.
