  1. I think your right. If you look at the distance between the silencer on the left to the axle then the distance between the one on the right they are both the same distance to the axle, but if you look at the distance on the left, then right side of the grab bar it's different distance to the axle.
  2. Does this sub frame look bent to you? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CUSTOM-Yama...sspagenameZWDVW Not interested in the bike, although I think it's a good looking bike. Not trying to start a Banshee bashing thread I'm just trying to get better at spoting stuff before I buy my next Banshee. What do you guys think? .
  3. It should work. The Fullbores have the hole for the cap. I would think that even if your radiator wasn't stock. They would at least still fit under stock plastic.
  4. You should just see if someone will trade. Surely someone on here would like some purple fullbores. Or just sell them and buy Duner440's plastic, if he still has them. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...topic=60324&hl= I think these would look pretty good with all that chrome.
  5. Here's what works for me. I choose a gear mostly 2nd and I stay with that gear all the way up. The hills I climb you can't afford to stall or your not going to make it and the bike will roll. I sit on the front part of the seat and put my body over the tank. If I need to hold the front down I can move my body up over the bars and stand, or if I need more traction I can lean back. There's a balance you have to find it. Plus this puts me in a good position to bale off. I listen to my motor for what it needs more or less throttle. I want keep my momentum, but not enough to where my front it going to come up. If you going to do much climb get all the gear, Helmets, chest protector, boots, gloves etc. Believe me I have a couple stiches in my hand because got stupid and took my gloves off right before a hill climb. Keep in mind as you getting this advice that the people telling you all have different bikes than you. Banshee's can be everything from plain stock to a 4 cylinder 20mm with nitrous and a 16 inch swinger. So a guy with a stock Banshee is going to climb different than a Banshee with a 10mm Cub with a 8 inch swinger. Gear chose, position on the bike, how much a running start, etc Make sure you have good tires also and start looking into more mods if your bike is stock. They will really help on those tougher hills.
  6. I have the MSD ignition and for the money I would have gotten a port job instead. But It's not a bad system just expensive. It was very easy to install, but your key will no longer work with this igition. Not a big deal to me because I can just take out the battery a carry it with me, because it's a very small battery and it will not run without the battery unlike a key you can't hot wire it. You can set your timing advance and retard and change it when you want easily. I have remote control batteries from remote control cars on mine. They will last up to 12 hours and only cost about 15 bucks each. I would recommend the MSD, but only after you've done other mods first. Port, Vforce, pipe, etc. Cause for the money, it not a great improvement.
  7. Seems like it would be cheaper for you to try to trade it with someone who has black plastic or sell it and buy black plastic vs painting it. If you paint it and you do it right. It could get expensive.
  8. What kind of deal did Frank cut you on the bike?
  9. I'd do it but They want this bike by ASAP. I thought there were a set of PT mids in the for sale section though. All the bike really needs is a new frame. I think if I buy a used one I'd have around 2000 in it. Plus the extra 2000 left over. That doesn't sound like a bad deal.
  10. My Banshee has been totalled, by my insurance company. In order for me to keep it I have to take 1600 out of my final settlement. What would you guys do? Let them have it or fix it back up. All it really needs is a new frame everything else seem okay. It rides and run fine now though, frame isn't bent bad enough to effect the ride. It's not anything special, but here's what it has everything is stock except. It's a 2002 with V-force 2, Paul Turner Mid pipes, Razr's on douglas rims with have alot of tread still. MSD ignition, Fat bars. DG bumper and nerf bars(bent not bad) Timing plate, K&N filter and with UNI intake.Lowing kit in back that's more of less it. So what do you guys think keep for 1600 or let it go and start all over? I plan on buying another Banshee regardless. I want a drag/dune bike also. I thought if I keep this one. I'm not going to fix it untill fall. There are some hill's I want to climb first and they are hills I know I won't be able to make it up the first few times, so I know it will roll a time or two on these hills.
  11. Actually it's getting better already. Their giving me 4k for my bike. I have less than that in it. They said I could keep it for 50 percent of the price. But I got them down to 40 percent. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to spend 1600 to keep it. It rides good and runs great, but I still don't know if I just want to start over.
  12. I'm wanting to buy a 5th wheel hitch. What's a good one to get. How hard are they to install. Does anyone have one they like to sell. My truck already has a goose neck hitch will this effect anything? Any other information I can get would be helpful. Thanks.
  13. Those are the 3 most famous redneck last words "Hey watch this"
  14. It was a bad hill, but I would have had no trouble going up it. I had the speed and was in the gear I wanted, but I would have had to come back down it to tell them it was a bad hill. I would have rated that hill a 5 out of 10. You had to go up about 50 yards then cut a hard right before you could fully see the hill. I had to hold my head at about a 2 o'clock up position at this corner to see the top. I hate/scared to go down hills. Anything over a 5 I don't like to go down. I'll do it but I really don't like to. I don't like haveing my brakes locked up and still be rolling at a fast pace. So when I saw what looked like a turn around about 75 yard after the hard right turn I went for it, but as soon as I turn the bike it rolled. It happen fast. If I had to do it again I would have climb it all the way and just found another way down. I've climb this hill a couple times before, but I forgot i had.
  15. I'm just messing with you MILO. Last week in my having a bad week post MILO told me bad things happen in 3's. And he was right until today when I rowed my bike down a hill. I was name hill scout today. I would climb a hill then let them know how bad I thought it was so they could deceide if they wanted to climb it. I was climbing this hill and was turning around to go tell them it was a bad one. When it started to roll half way though my turn. I fell off and couldn't get out of it's path. It rolled over me. It smashed my hand between a rock and the rock cut me down to the bone. But it really wasn't that bad though I only needed two sitches and the handle bars on the bike are done for. But hey a least I'm here able to write this post. Bars can be repalced and my hand will heal. Thank God I had my helmet on, but if I would have keep my gloves on, I'll bet I wouldn't have even need sitches. I figure when they saw my bike rolling down the hill and I was no where near it. They would figure it was a bad hill. Either way hopefully bad things only come in 4's.
  16. 3000 is what I was thinking also, but offer him 2500 maybe even 2000 and let him work you up to 3000. Good luck.
  17. After I get me insurance settlement for my bike, might be interested. But, I have a few questions. So the bike is a 10mm Cheetah or cub? What kind of hp do you think it's making how fast is it drags. What kind of compression does it have. Is it capable of being a dune bike, does it run hot? Is the front brakes gone? How hard would it be to put it back on, if it is gone? What part of Michigan are you at? I hope those aren't too many question. Thanks.
  18. Maybe it's not called a quarter throttle. It's what we've called them around here. I think the only thing you have to watch for is make sure you have enough space between the grip on the bar and the grip on the throttle. If there isn't enough space they could rub and cause the throttle to stick.
  19. I was just wondering. I think the 1911 Colts are an awsome gun myself. I had a chance to buy an all chrome once for a grand. I just thought it was too high at the time. It looked like the one Samual L Jackson used on Pulp fiction. I wish I had gotten it now. Don't forget to look at the Kimbers and Springfields also.
  20. Out of curiosity. Is there a reason your wanting Colt 1911 as a collector? I would think you would want something that was less expensive and would climb in price verse something that is already bringing top dollar. I would think Winchesters(out of business) or Ruger black hawks(no longer made) or assault rilfes be something that would climb in price very well right now. But I've been out of the gun scene for a while so I really wouldn't know.
  21. I'm not sure, I maybe completely off. But isn't style of throttle called a quarter throttle?
  22. If I put a different set of plastics on it. It doesn't look bad. The sub frame is bent and the part of the frame the supports the handle bars are bent. It rides fine though. I'd trade it with cash for a different bike.
  23. The U-joints went out on my Dodge. Well no big deal it's covered, I have 7/70. Right? Wrong seems the last owner changed the stock joints to aftermarket joints. Botton line I had to buy a new drive shaft and U-joints out of my own pocket. My mower quits on me. Again I think no big deal I have 2 mowers. But my 2nd mower decides it going to take a dump on me too. so now my grass looks like a wheat field. And for the final punch to a crappy week. My Banshee decides to try to make an escape and jumps off my trailer. It would have been not big deal, Hadn't I been going down the road at 55 mph. Bottom line on that one is it's fuc#ed. The week before the power steer line blew on my lowrider and the starter went out on my car. I've gotten most of the stuff fixed from now. But I need help with this Banshee. I need to buy one by next weekend. I have a big ride to attend. So I'm looking for the best Banshee I can buy for 3500 dollars, or trade plus cash, or what ever. I'll post some of the stuff I'll have to trade in the wanted section later. So come on guys email me with what you've got. [email protected] I don't want to be stuck riding a Honda next weekend.
  24. Looks like a photo that someone took a red magic marker to. I wonder with the red tires, if you did a burn out would it leave red steaks? Everyone has their own taste. I guess if he likes it that's all that matters. But why in the hell would anyone paid good money to have someone fix the T.O.R.S. and not remove it.
