  1. Where is this 'Shee located? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Colby and JayCLL, did you have to crate them? Do you drop off at their location or do they pick it up?
  3. Anyone have any expeirence shipping a 4-wheeler? Any positive reviews from certain shippers? Any rates people have seen? Etc, etc..... Thanks.
  4. To everyone responding to the OP with these VERY informative posts....you are all stand up guys!!!!!!!! I too am learnig a ton by reading thru this thread.
  5. Damn man, that's a super deal! I've been looking for a while now. Around me, anything under $2000 is pounded and anything even kinda nice is $3500. I just want a well maintained Banshee. Nothing crazy, just a nice clean bike for a fair price. I wish I wanted a 400EX cause there are TONS of those for cheap money. If a bike like that popped up for $800 I buy it in a heartbeat! Shit, I'd buy 2!
  6. I too would leave it in the crate. If I had the scratch, I buy that one tuck it away, surround it in moth balls and drape a sheet over it. If I bought the yellow one, I would immediately remove stock items like wheels/tires, bars, exhaust, plastics/seat, etc.,....and box everthing up. I'd then replace everything with tasteful aftermarket parts. I would ride it, but ONLY clean riding like sand and frozen lakes. I'd keep it as mint as I could and know I could always return it to a very nice stock bike.
  7. How long ago was that? That seems a little more in line of where these bikes should be. I'm not sure being still in the crate, as cool as it is, should command a $2500 premium over the other one.
  8. Here you go! Same seller; brand new, never ridden but out of crate, $7000. http://newyork.craigslist.org/fct/mcy/2160736473.html
  9. Here's a good question, for those who would buy it for the right price, what would you do with it?? Would you sit on it as it is, stuff it in the back of your garage and forget about it hoping it would appreciate in value? Would you ride it, but keep it stock? Would you carefully remove the factory parts, tastefully trick it out and ride it? Would you.......?? Let's hear it!
  10. I thought this was pretty cool, figured I'd share it here. A guy on CL selling a 2006 Banshee, still in shipping crate! I think he's reaching for the stars with his asking price, but you never know. http://newyork.craigslist.org/fct/mcy/2160772116.html
  11. Yeah, I mean, the reason I inquired about a title is that when I bought my 400EX new back in 2000, I don't recall ever receiving a title from the dealer. Maybe I did and it's stuffed away in a file cabinet somewhere....no idea?? That bike is long gone now and I know when I sold it I didn't give the new owner a title.
  12. OK, this may be a really dumb question, but what is so desireable about having a title for a quad?
  13. Less than $1500?? Wow, that seems light...but what do I know? Not sure if he has a title or not..?
  14. I've bought and sold several niche cars/trucks/boats so I understand that. The Banshee market however I am less in the know. I figure this is the place to find out.
  15. Does anyone know if there is a place to buy ice tires WITH studs/screws already in them? Thanks
  16. 2005: Two owner, stock internals, new wheels/tires, FMF pipes, bumper, Renthal bars, fresh top end with receipts, clean. What's a good ballpark value of this bike? Thx.
  17. muggzy, very helpful and informative post. Exactly what I was looking for, thank you. I have my eye on an '05 that I am hoping to go look at this week.
  18. I had a 4-stroke, 400EX, great bike but didn't really like it on the ice. The snappy powerband of the 'Shee and rev happy motor are sooo much fun on the ice!
  19. Hi everyone, hope you all had a nice Christmas. I've been a member for a while, but have never owned a Banshee. I am considering buying one soon for ice riding. I have been looking around at used bikes (eBay, CL, local classifieds, etc.) and prices seem to be allllll over the place. Is there a price guide to use as a guideline? I don't mind paying good money, but I just don't want to take a deal if it's not the right one. I want to pay what is fair to me and fair to the seller. Secondly, what are a few big areas of concern that I should immediately look out for? Has anyone on here ever put together a 'check-list' for prospective buyers? Basically what I am looking for is a nice clean, fairly unmolested machine. I want something that will be reliable with regular maintanance and not require a lot of tinkering. Huge thanks in advance for any tips/advice/insight that any of you would be willing to share!
  20. Thx Brian, I check it out.
  21. BUMP Still looking. Thought I had one...........deal fell through. -Within 150 miles from CT -Year not important -Minor mods ok; pipes, wheels/tires, bars, etc. No internal moter mods! -Low hours! -Must be super clean! Thanks.
  22. Still looking to get rid of that Banshee? Anyone heard from this guy? I sent him a PM the day it was posted.........and nothing....???
  23. I am in CT......I noticed you are in CT as well. I think I have found my machine.....will know for sure later today or tomorrow! Merry Christmas.
