  1. My left side fits tight, but when you put the springs on the right side, they are lose and dont fit tight, so when you rev it up, the pipe blows about 1/2 inch off of the cylinder and makes a horible rattling noise. any sugesitions, or is this a manufacture defect?

  2. i have changedt he springs and seals on my fmf fatty's a couple of times, i just buy there little kit for 10 bucks, but the right side keeps getting lose, after a couple of rides, the springs have no more tension. does anyone know what to do besides changing the springs every couple of weeks?

  3. sounds like your ratio is too much oil, most people run between 32:1 up to 40:1 and higher. Your bike should smoke alot after you rebuild, from all the extra oil you put on the rings and bearings, but that doest last long, it should burn up fast.

  4. A Clymer's will be your best friend, but... The Reader's Digest version: Loosen top and bottom carriers bolts, loosen jam nuts on adjusting bolts.  Turn adjusting bolts an equal number of turns until the chain has about .75" slack at the tightest point. If you have a stock carrier the adjusting bolts should have an attachment with "hash"marks that will give you an approximation of how square the carrier is to the swingarm.  After adjusting, tighten the jam nuts, and retorque the upper and lower carrier bolts. 80-ish on the top and 48 (?) on the bottom, sorry don't have my Clymer's in hand.

  5. i think you will be happy with either fmf fatty's, or some t6's. they are both good all around pipes, and have a great sound, if you dont have many other mods, then this is the ones for you. make sure you re-jet your carbs when your done, and if you dont already, get your self a k&n and pro flow kit to help get some more air with the upgraded exaust.

  6. black is the ground, yellow is for the high beam position, green is for low beam position.  Personally I prefer to have the lights on in the high beam position.  To do this, connect the ground on the lights to the black wire, and the yellow wires to the positive on the lights.
