OK i got my banshee off some kid he told me the jetting is freaked up so he said i would get that fixed before i did any riding so i warmed it up and did a nice 3rd gear pull and shut the key off and coasted over and looked at the plugs they were white like they had never been ran yet. So i am now scared thinking how freaked up is the motor so i pulled the carbs right away and seen what he was running for a main it was a 240 i through in some 250's and the plugs look a little better now a tan color similar to the color of a brown bag i think it needs 260's. Does that sound right It has fmf pipe and silencer ,boyeson rad valves ,kn air filter and its bored 60 over. Also another question i noticed it smokes alittle more out of the right pipe and i noticed the right hand side gets hot and the left side stays pretty cool. LIke if i touch the right pipe its hot and i gotta pull my hand away but the left i could keep my hand there all day. Can anyone answer these questions for me it would be great. I will do a comp test tommorow and get you some numbers. but tell me what you think about the hot and cold pipe that dont seem right to me. Sorry for such a long post too.Thanks

I know where the vin is on the shee but how do i check to see if its newer. Is there somewhwere i can check to see. And also where can i get one of those manuals . Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the link alot of useful info. i have been looking it over and i noticed the two chain rollers and the sliders are pretty worn out. Does anyone have a site i can buy some parts off of.

How do i check the vin the kid i got it off of said it might be newer than a 94 but he wasnt sure. What do you guys mix your fuel oil ratio the kid told me 32 to 1. I havent mixed any fuel for it yet but i was just wondering before i did it.

Hey i am new on the forum i just picked up a banshee for 1000$ its a 94 it has fmf exhaust boyeson rad valves a boost bottle and its bored 60 over. Can anyone think of some things i should check because i want to be rideing in a couple weeks and not fixing it in my shed. Anything at all i should look at . I am not going to lie i dont know very much about quads let alone banshees i can just ride them. Heres a couple pics.(not the best i took them with my phone)
