  1. Ok, i am at the stage of purchasing a set of maxxis 4-snows. I drag race on medium-hard clay, but i need to know what size tire is best for traction on clay surface. 22x10x8 or 22x10x9? I have had different oppinions from diff ppl so i hope i can get 1 straight answer. Thanks
  2. Yeh thanx. I called andy and im getting the lock-up clutch off him.
  3. I'm after a Lock-up clutch kit for my banhsee as i am getting a set of Grand River Racing Drag Pipes and i need this to prevent my clutch from slippin.
  4. So u think i should go to a 16 front sprocket?
  5. At the moment i am running a 15 front sprocket and it still spins like crazy at take off so i wouldn't need more bottom end, i would be after more mid-top end power. Even on road if i launch in second the tires just spin, the front wont even lift.
  6. This is just my oppinion, but i would be running twin airfilters for a more clean and crispier response. Like UNI Filters. And if you have an airbox on, i suggest take it off. This is just from my own experience.
  7. Thanx for the advice guys!
  8. Yeah at the start it is very moist as the water truck goes over it. But at the start of the day the start line is almost sloshy mud. Would the "snows" be able to get out of it or will they spin? And if i decided to get some 4-snows, what size tire and rim do u recommend as the best for drags? P.S Would anyone have a movie clip of a banshee dragging with Wedges or Snow's?
  9. Thanx for the advice guys. So would there be much difference between GRR and shearer? And are shearer similar to RDZ?
  10. What about on hard paked clay, would the pro wedges still have traction or would they perform like a paddle?
  11. Dont worry bout the mud tires , i am at the point of buying my tires and a mate of mine has razr IIs, we went to the drag strip and they worked awesome. So i decided to buy some but i have a choice outta 20x11-10 or 22x11-10. Which would give more traction and better holeshot.
  12. I have a stage 2 port job with a 420 bigbore kit, running on 34mm carbs.Would it matter if i got Grand river racing or CPI outta frame pipes?
  13. I'm at the stage at buying a set of drag pipes. I want maximum power & performance. Which of these would be the best: RDZ Drag pipes, CPI Bigbore Drag Pipes, Grand river racing Drag pipes or Shearer Drag pipes?
  14. NICE! Hey i also got a 3hole rear strut on my suspension, which would be the best to drag? Lowest? When i put it on the lowest and i sit on it it is very close to the ground. I just need traction.
  15. I was thinking since the 4-snows come closest to a paddle (tread), will it loose traction at last half of trak like the paddles? Where the ground is very hard(dry) Wot about All Terrain Mud Tire? 22x12x10. They are suppose to be very good on hard paked straight line.
  16. Hi somebody else has just recommended some HOOSIER TRI-TRAC tires, because i am racing on medium-hard CLAY. So now i need to decide outta thes and the 4-snows.
  17. Cool Thanx. Does anyone have any pics of banshees with CPI or Shearer drag pipes(out to frame style)?
  18. I have also heard that to run 4-snows on hard clay, you should reverse the direction of the tire, is this true? How much psi should i put in to be safe? If i buy a 22x10x8 would i need a 10x8 rim or what would you recommend? Thanx for all your help hey!!! ps: i live in australia, not sure if the conditions would worry
  19. what about in the dry hard compacted ground (towards the end), will it still have traction or will it spin like paddles. And would it be better to get the bigger rim for traction (9")
  20. Thanx for the advice. I will need to get a set of drag pipes then. Which would be the best for performance wise?
  21. Thankyou, but, will the 4-snows have traction towards the end as it is very hard ground, and with paddles there was no traction. i have a 10x10 rim, what size tire would be better 22 or 20
  22. it makes sense...Thanx for all your help!

    Drag Pipes

i'm after a set of outta frame drag pipes. Probably CPI or Shearer.
  24. I have a front a-arm lowering kit on my shee. Is this good or bad for drag racing? i am afetr maximum traction.
  25. I race at beverley, which at the start line the clay is medium because the water truck usually goes over it and all the bikes dig it up. At half track to the end, the ground is quite hard, and when i took my paddles up i found that it lost traction by half track and had no more pull. So i am at the point of buying a set of tires and i need the absolute best traction tire for this condition. If anyone can help me out that would be great!! (the water truck does not wet the last half of track, so it is dry hard ground)
