  1. I'm about to go dragging tomorrow but i just need an opinion. I have a 420 bigbore banshee etc with 22x11x8 pro wedge 2's and currently running 41 rear sproket and 15 front. Is this ok? or what gearing do you guys recommend. It's 200-250m dirt drag strip.
  2. I am almost ready to go drag racing, after installing my new lock-up and drag pipes. I now have Pro Wedge 2's on a 8x8 rim, and a rear lowering strut (3 settings). I am just wondering which setting would be best? The highest, middle or lowest?
  3. Yes i agree, by lowering the front end will make it harder to lift up. As by lowering the front there is then more power needed to lift that extra bit up.(more distance to travel, till the wheels come off the ground).
  4. Thanks for that! Much appreciated!
  5. Are the manufactures all similar, or are there beter ones to go for?
  6. Hi, i have had my banshee bigbored with 68mm pistons, and i have seen alot of banshees running some type of cool design head. I was just wondering would i be able to get one for my banshee, if so, what brand or type, and where to order? And what exactly is the difference between the stock and the cool one? Ps. I live in australia Thanks so much!
  7. Yeh i have already ordered the (.190). But what is the difference between the two? Is it major?
  8. Hi guys i have bought my pro wedge 2s, and now are ordering a set of rims. I have ordered some 8x8 red label douglas rims which are (.190). I know that ppl have been recommending (.125) but this is all i can get. Are the red labels ok, or bad. Thanks
  9. Hi guys, could i just get a brief description on how to install a lock-up clutch on my shee. Thanks.
  10. hi i am buying a set of pro wedge 2 tires on some 8x8 rims. Would these be ok, wot size are they?, how much tread is left?, and i drag race on muddy clay surface, would this matter? Also would you ship to australia?
  11. I wasn't able to open the file. I think the file was corrupted or something to do with the codec.
  12. Sorry Too Many Toys, i cant get the video to work even on my computer. Don't know what the problem is?????
  13. Hey too many toys. Could u please send me the video file to [email protected]. Cheers mate.
  14. Hey guys, i have on order a set of pro wedge 2s and some 8x8 rims to go with them. Now i just need a set of rims and tyres for the front, because i've heard that skinnier tyres are easier to steer and my front tyres at the moment are way to wide. I also notice in car drags they all have runners on the front as wider tyres make the car sway at top speed. So any help on a set of front tyres n' rims would be great!
  15. No my bike is putting out enough power, thats why i am changing tires. I have a 420 big bore kit, 34mm carbs, stge II port job, GRR drag pipes, and alot of minor mods aswell. Thanks for your advice.
  16. I'm goin with the GRR pipes. I dont think that CPI and GRR are the same, cos i have mates with em and they perform totally different. All types of drag pipes would be different in some way, so go do some research b4 you say anything.
  17. maxxis 4-snows are an excellent snow tire and also for soft sand, but the tread is very soft so on harder surface it would wear out quickly. Have you had a look at some pro wedge II's, they are very similar to the 4s but deeper, harder tread. I personally think that the pro wedge II's are the tire u need, unless for pure snow, go with the 4's. But see wot the others think. Good Luck.
  18. I've never heard to run a tyre backwards, but thanks for your help. The drag meeting is on 21st Jan. so i will let u know how i went. Thanks again!!!!!
  19. Thanks, i will. So these tires will definitely give me more traction than i have now with the Kenda Dominators?
  20. Ah Ok What about the pro wedge II tire, i know there similar to the 4-snow but harder tread. Would these be my best choice as i have the chance of getting a set of the Pro Wedge II's.
  21. I live in australia and i cant seem to find the wedges any where. I take it that you dont live in australia. Are these wedes in good condition, how much tread has gone? What size? Most importantly how much do u want for them and shipping, if you want to ship?
  22. Thanks, but there arent many good banshees up there, i just race there for practise and test n' tune, because in MARCH there is a major drag meet somewhere else. But whateva tire i go for is it better to go for the 20's or the 22's. For example: Maxxis Razr II's 22x11X9, 22x11x10 or same but 20". Just to clarify the surface again:Very moist at the start line and loose clay, after about half track the surface turns quite hard and dry. I really need the holeshot and TRACTION.
  23. So for medium-hard paked clay (at the start it is moist and loose), would you recommend 4-snows over sumthin like Razr II's or Kenda Dominators?
  24. When u say that all drag racers use 8" tires and 8x8 rims, does this mean with any tire, because i have just asked a person where i was going to buy these tires from, and he says that these maxxis 4-snows wont work well on medium-loose clay surface. If this is true, what other tire (and size of tire) would be the best? PS: I am currently running Kenda Dominators, but the tread is low, and they dont hook up.
  25. Thanks for the advice guys, made my decision heaps easier. I will go for the 8's and see wot happens. Oh, and also, wot size rim am i lookin at top fit the 22x10x8
