  1. They are sure a big tire! So should i go 14/43 or 13/41?.....or......gear it up so that i will be taking off in 1st?
  2. I was also wondering, i was running 14/41 with my normal tires (dominators) and was spinning off the line in 2nd easy, but when i changed to pro wedges i could not take off in 2nd so i went to 1st. So now i geared it 16/40 and will be taking off in 1st - 4th or 5th gear. Is this ok or should i just gear it 2nd to 6th with 13/41?
  3. ok i race 200m and at the moment im taking off in 1st gear and crossing the line in 5th (15-41). Im just wondering if i geared up so that its something like 16-40 and i pass the line in perhaps 4th gear, is that ok or am i loosing power?
  4. But if im crossing the line in 5th gear, possibly 4th is that ok or should i be pasing in 6th?
  5. So is it ok to gear 15-38 for 1st-4th or 14-42 2nd to 6th?
  6. I know i should have gone with wiseco, but i messed up. And the only thing stopping me now is the $$. AU$500 for 2 pistons But how much power differnce do you think i will gain? And are they a lighter/weaker piston? Is there anyway i can order 68mm wiseco pistons over the internet? Thanks
  7. The same guy who did my bigbore. But with the bigbore came pistons with large windows, and now i had to buy some more and they are smaller windows (prox racing) i was thinking of sending them back to be cut out but then, they could become weaker.
  8. i was thinking about this and it makes sense. Im thinking about gearing my bike from 1st to 5th or 1st to 4th. So would i go 16-40 or 15-38? Is this correct, no matter what gear i cross the line as long as i get there from start to finish as quick as possible? Ps: i drag on 200m
  9. with my pro circuit pipes i was running 330 main jets, and still have them in with the grr drag pipes. should i put bigger jets in as i have 300's and 350's?
  10. By the way, my swingarm is the original. All i did was chop it and welded an extra 6inches tubing on, so before i go buying a new one i decided to play around with mine. To be able to take off in 2nd ( as currently it is bogging) would i need to lengthen or shorten?
  11. Ok Thanks for your help!
  12. Thanks guys! And lonestar, im not sure if you read my other post but at the moment i am having a problem taking off in 2nd, so would lengthening the swingarm help me or not. And, or will the lighter axle help me? Ps. thanks for the compliment!
  13. Im interested in buying a swingarm or axle from andy, but cannot afford both right now so im interested in what would be best to get first? Which would help me the most?
  14. Ok thanks. I was just curious. I will let you guys know how it goes, might have a play with the rear sprocket this weekend.
  15. Cheers for the compliment. I might give my pistons back to the mech to open the windows up on my pistons, see how that goes, but if not i will lower my front sproket or lift the rear because as many people said those tires are heavier and taller which is making the engine work harder. Or just buy a +4 swinger. I also never mentioned that i have red label douglas not blue. Could this be affecting the problem?
  16. my bike has recently blown a piston and when i rebuilt it, the new pistons i got (prox) had smaller windows. Could this drain some of the power? Or i might invest in a shorter swinger as that will help me take off in 2nd, because i think that my swinger is too long and my bike hasnt got enough power for it. correct me if im wrong.
  17. Thats exactly what i thought, but the reason i got the 22's is because thats what you guys recommened.i was thinking of a shorter swinger as currently i have a +6.
  18. ah k, so for me i would need to go to a 42 or 43 rear for more bottom end.
  19. Hi, my mods for my banshee are listed in the sig, so i wont repeat. Currently i have a +6 swingarm, and not custom! I just chopped the original and welded an extension. I know this is not right so i came to ask: What size swinger is recommended? And where could i find a good deal on one?
  20. i know that by lowering the front sprocket you gain more bottom end, but what happens when you change the rear?
  21. Yeh i was able to take off very easy in 2nd with my kenda dominators 20x11x10 but ever since i put the pro wedges on 22x11x8 i have had problems. But i think i will just play around with the sprokets. Thanks for all help.
  22. Yeh plenty of shutdown space. Today turned out ok. I did wipe out all the 450's and a few banshees but there is a problem. I can't take off in 2nd, as it bogs, and when i cross the finish line i am in 5th gear, with an extra gear to go. Would lifting the back to a 42 help? Ps:i am running 15-41
  23. Ok. Thanks for all your help mate. Im off to the drags now, will let u know how it went. Thanks again!
  24. That makes sense. But i have tried a 16 on the front and it wont fit, would i need to modify the casing? And do i need the alter the back sproket or leave it 41?
  25. I was thinking to a 14 because wouldnt a 17 lag the bike.Plus wouldnt the pro wedge act as an extra gear as they balloon up. Like bog in holeshot and possibbly the bike will cross the finish line and still have more power left. I would want it to just cross the line at full power. But im not sure.
