  1. thats the problem, whoever painted it made it really hard to read. I am hoping they didnt do it on purpose! I found a chart, so now i just have to figure out what that 10th digit is for sure. i will upload the chart and somebody can stickie it so we have it for future reference.

    Well if it is a 4 or an A then you either have a 1974, a 1980 or a 2004... seeing that they didn't make shees in 74 or 80, I'd say you got a 04.

  2. Yah I was thinking maybe somekind of built in power jet also. The only place it goes is from the bowl to the back of the carb the small little hole on the right in the last picture.

I always seem to have different jetting compared to my buddy with stock carbs, I wonder if this has something to do with it?

I wonder if there is any advantage with these carbs compared to stock?

  3. Well I have always wondered what these carbs came from. They were on my bike when I got it as a pile of parts. They don't look the same as my buddies stock carbs, but they are 26mm. I would like to know what the purpose of the fitting that goies from the bowl into the mouth of the carb, I haver never seen this on other carbs?

Surely someone on here can shed some light?

  4. I bought a relocation plate on ebay, It lets you put everything inbetween the rad and gas tank, It looks really clean. I can't seem to find a link right now, but I'm pretty sure the guys that makes them is a member on here. I have also seen some people cut the stock mount off and weld it up front under the fender. I'm sure there are a few ways to do it.

    Wacko2000 beat me to it..lol

  5. ive done the roundhouse conversion to stock swingarms many times before. ive done them for prolly 5 members here on the site. i have done them where the swingarm is off the bike and i did one for myself where i left the swingarm on. never had an issue.

Do you have any tips on how to do this, I have a stock swinger laying around that I would like to try this on, Just not sure on what materials to buy.

  6. I know this is probably a stupid question, but I was just wondering why this needs to be done?

I have been around lots of bikes and sleds( I am no master builder, just your average do it your self kind of guy) and have personally never set the gap on a set of plugs and never seemed to have a problem, Would there be an adavntage to setting the proper gap on my shee?

    Thanks

  7. Ok I picked up a set of 450 arms to try out, so what tie rods do I use with these.. Banshee +2 or stock 450. I would like to use the tie rod ends that I already have on my banshee If thats possible? I just wanted to now what to get before I spend money on the wrong parts. Thanks in advance

  8. Thanks for the replys guys. I have talked to a few builders and I have decided to have RB racing do my work. He seems to be the only one (that i spoke with) that was actually interested in helping me get what I want out of my motor. Thanks Bob.

I was suprised by some of the answers I got from other builders, Especially GSF racing who suggested that a CUB kit would better for trails than a good port job. LOL... I don't mean to bash ppl but that almost made me fall off my chair laughing when I read that for the first time. Especailly after reading so many posts on here about Cubs and trails.
