  1. Purchased a new 2005 about 6 months ago.. I had removed the TORS, Re-Jetted, T-6's, K&N..etc... Silconed the throttle cables at the point of entry to the carbs to keep out moisture...Still stuck wide open, until I feathered the throttle... It was really starting to piss me off... Until a riding buddy, had similar problems, he took his slides out.. There is a black coating on the slides (not on older models). Took a fine grit sand paper and sanded the black off until it was bare metal. Did not stick after that... I did the same. Rode this past weekend.. First time I had ridden it (through mud & water) with the slides sanded... Needless to say, they did not stick once!!
