  1. I hope you are happy with the arms Bill, I will have to complement my seven year old daughter for helping me with the packing.

This was my first online transaction, and it went flawlessly.

    Thanks again Bill.

    Troy.

  2. Thanks for all the info guys i didnt get a chance to check my pilots today, however im certain that they are stock for the carbs. As far as starting in the cold it takes approx. 5-10 kicks with the choke on, and maybe a few if it dies while warming up. Once it is warmed up it starts first kick every time. I did make a few wide open pulls today on new plugs and they look tan to darker brown the deeper you go into the plug. I think im pretty close on the main, but may be a little off on the pilot or the mixture screws. Havent checked the mixture screw position either, making a checklist of things to do this week.

    Thanks again.

  3. My needle is on the fourth position, but i cant remember which pilot im running, I will have to check to day. Thanks for the info I have never been around or ridden a bike with dg's, they seem to have lots of snap right off idle and it made me wonder if there was something wrong.

I later found out that my buddy also has his head milled 40thousands, could the added compression make the bottom end that much better?

  4. Hey guys I have recently got my quad together, the mods are as follows t-5 pipes, boysen reeds, and pkw 28mm carbs with open lid and uni filter.

The bike seems to be running a little rich on the top end with 170 mains, and seems extremely sluggish in the low and mid before hitting the pipe in comparison to my buddies shee with similar mods and dg pipes. Could this be my jetting or is the differance in the two pipe combinations what I am fighting. banghead

I'm at approx 500' and outside air temps im the mid 40's.

Thanks for your help and info.

  5. You wouldn't be riding at brushy ridge in astoria, or Eilers in chandlerville would you? Springfield you say? I live near Beardstown. Lot of sand here in different spots, but alot of country back road riding to get to them.

No the majority of my riding will be in Taylorville or near it at the South Fork riding park, however I do have a cabin in Havana, where there is a little land to ride on.

  6. Where I ride, it's mostly sand. Any town on the illinois river is built on sand, and around here the us army corps of engeeners dredges the river every year, and dumps the silt at various spots. They have been doing this every since there was barge traffic on the illinois river. Where you live in central Il.

I am located in Springfield, Illinois, which is approximately 50 miles to the Illinois River. However there is a State riding area that has a mx track, and several acres of wooded trails that are used for hair scrambles. This area will probably be my stomping grounds.

  7. Okay, I recently bought my first banshee. It is a total basket case, but has a few upgraded parts, +4 swingarm, +2+1 a arms, T-5 pipes, pwk 28's, and a barnett clutch.

My question is that the engine has to be totally rebuilt including crank, pistons, rods, head, etc... I am considering a passion 4mm stroker with all the goodies, or just a stock stroke overbore/rebuild. As I am new to banshees, is the stroker gonna be to much power for a trail/pleasure bike. I have ridden several modded 4 stroke quads, but nothing with the power potential of the stroker.

Options are ported out stroker, ported standard stroke, or stock rebuild.

    Your info is greatly appreciated.
