I advanced my timing and it seems slower and my lights dont work could i have done something wrong?

I was thinkin about getting some pwk 28mm will that be good for my setup . Also whats the difference in flat sides? Also if I get new carbs do I have to remove the tors? Thanks

I know ive posted this before but i checked my compression again holdind the throttle and it reads 132 psi can i advance the timing by 4 and still run 93 octane . Thanks
