  1. I have a 97 banshee, hot rod rods and crank, vitos super stock pistons .060 over, ported cylinders, boynsen reeds, pro circut pipes, stock carbs with 300 mains and toomey needles set one down from the top, new dyna adjustable cdi box, new coil, stator and pickup coil from rickey stator, brand new b7es plugs, noss cool head with 20cc domes, all the tors crap is removed. The problem is that the thing runs very strong but it only runs when it wants too. Somtimes it will start up and run great for about 30min and then it will start missing and backfiring and will not start back. It you pull the plugs they look great they are a milky brown color. When you try to start it it will run for about 1 to 2 seconds and then quit even if you try to pull it off. It will keep that up for days and then you can just do somtning stupid like switch the position of the coil wires or un plug some connector for the 20th time and plug it back and it will run again for a while and then start doing the same crap. Ive searched for this problem for about a month now and cannot find a bad connection anywhere. What do you all thinK it could be, help please!!!!
  2. If your bike is all stock rite now and you want to have a faster top speed you need to go with pro circuts or t-6s or fmf ssts, you dont want shearers or any other drag pipe because you dont have enough motor for them. Get one of the three pipes I listed and a k&n air filter a good jet kit and one tooth larger on your front sprocket., Forget the boost bottle, waste of money. Im sure that if you take that advice you will notice a huge differance and be quite happy. Just be sure that you get it jetted correctly so you dont fry your motor.
  3. castor 927 w race gas smells the best, you will sit behind you bike in a lawn chair with it idling unitll the plugs foul, thats how good it smells javascript:emoticon('') smilie
  4. I would run no less than 93 octane in a stock banshee, if u are going to run 19cc domes and advance your timing you had better mix in a little race gas. I run 20cc domes and some advance also and I run a 50/50 mix of 110 and 93 octane. I tried running just 93 octane and had severe detonation to the point that it ate the electrodes off of my spark plugs. Adding race gas fixed that. So I would suggest the same for you. If not you risk severe engine damage. javascript:emoticon('') smilie
  5. just get you a 35mm trinity 2 into 1 set up, I know lost of peeps with this set up and it always works great and they are a lot less of a pain to tune in, half the work! Plus the constant velosity set up will help you keep your bottom end power while the size of the 35mm carb will help you out on top, have fun
  6. Why would you ever even want a -2 swingarm, you would be yanking the front tires every time the power kicked in and it would be impossible to climb hills, but oh well, to each his own i guess
  7. Yeah Id say that you pre mix ratio is part of your problem, 20:1 is way to much oil, the most oil you are going to want to run is 32:1 or maybee even 40:1, I prefer caster 927 it works awesome and smells great! good luckjavascript:emoticon('') smilie
