BUMP! $150 and your stock shocks.

Well i'll be selling my works shocks than. I want to be able to have the smoothest ride possible without going all out on my money. So if having to get rid of the works and get some better shocks I'm fine with that.

I got a question. I got a killer deal on works shocks about a year ago. Fronts are triple rate with remote reservoirs and the rear has a remote resi. Now my question is would it be better to sell those and get a higher grade shock or send those and get them set up for me? I completely agree with making sure the suspension is right i just want to know if i should get better suspension. I don't want to drop some insane amount of money though. This would just be for duning btw.

I bought these awhile back when the guy had them brand new and put them on my banshee. I used the banshee less than 5 dune rides and bought a new quad. So i want to sell these now. I'll take $200 obo. Or $180 and stock banshee shocks. Apparantly I can't upload the pics. Can someone let me email the pics and have you upload them?

I already do have pipes on both banshees and they run good. But i didn't think about the gas being an issue until you brought that up. That's one of my favorite things on the 450 is that it runs all day on a tank of gas. The thing with that custom chassis is the fact of all the wheel travel but i just did some research on a LTR450 and it can get 19" travel with long travel. So that is the same as that custom chassis. I liked that banshee because its so out of the ordinary but that pricing is a little extreme. So i could probably get more for my money if i set up the 450 and possibly a hard running banshee.

It's been awhile since i've even logged in here but now its time to do something to one of my banshees or atleast figure it out. I have a ltr450 that runs great and is an awesome bike. I love the power and it only has the pipe, filter, and pc3. But one thing it isn't the smoothest riding dune bike. Whenever its a little rutted up i feel it big time and i get sore. I almost get to the point where I don't want to ride anymore. And when that happens i usually just go passenger in my dad's sandrail. I can't afford a rail so i figure i could try something else. Well here's the dilema. We have 2 stock banshees, one runs and one doesn't. I have to choice to either sell both banshees and get a new quad thats under $5,000. Only because my uncle told my dad that the 450's are going cheap. But this where i came up with something. I can sell on banshee and keep the other and my dad said I could use the money from getting a new quad and put it into the banshee. If I go this route it gives me a choice to either ride the banshee or 450. If i do the banshee i love the old sundahl stlye and there is a guy i found called Chassis Inc. I spoke with him and am waiting some faxes for pricing. I figure this set up would be the ultimate duner and would ride great. My only worry is losing that 4 stroke torque. So what would you guys do to get a good reliable power out of the banshee motor and on pump gas. Basically just looking for some advice.

Have a 93 banshee with pipes but pretty much stock other than that. I have the title but it does need work. It lost the clutch going up olds and i don't want to redo it. Let me know if any interest. Thanks.

Any interest in a banshee that needs a new clutch or tranny? Something in that area needs work. Comes with pipes, and other goodies. It's a 93. How much to do the crank on the 250? PM me if interested. I have title.

Well i have a banshee that has to be torn down since some of the welds are cracking and i figure why not tune it up. Right now it has trinity pipes, filter, and jetted but other than that its stock. I plan on adding suspension all around and +2 +1 a-arms, +4 swinger and a +4 axle. But for motor work is where i had questions. I looked n herrjuggracing and i wanted to know if their prices seemed fair for the 4 mill? And their is 2 4 mill set ups that say they push out 90 hp but one has a 4 mill crank and one doesnt. Theres about a $500 difference. Now i was wondering how week will my crank be if i don't do the 4 mill crank? Can i get away with just having them weld it? Any info helps. I'm trying to keep this to a cheap rebuild. Hoping to be under $2,000. Thanks

Front works shocks are 220 shipped? And what arms are they set up for?

Well its been awhile since i've been here but i need some parts. I saw a crack on my frame and realized i need to strip the whole shee down and do some work. So i might as well do some work on it. I'm looking for a CPI inframes or the shearer ones. I plan on having it ported by CT Racing and boring out the carbs. I also need a coolhead. I dont know what size domes so I figure you guys would know. Also would like any aftermarket shocks that fit a +2+1 arms. So in all i need: Coolhead CPI or Shearer Pipes in frame +2+1 arms Let me know what you got. PM works best. Thanks

Thanks for the welcome. I've been on this site forever just moved on to my 450. So i didn't have money for the shee. I'm located in Orange County.

So while out at Glamis my brothers banshee lost a gear or clutch or something. He was running up olds and it bogged down and the tranny locked up. Couldn't get it into neutral or anything. I got on it and pulled the clutch and started it so i can roll down the hill hoping to engage something. I was able to get it in neutral. But than it had no power so i figured that's the clutch. When we went to tow it the wheels locked and not even pulling the clutch in or anything would work. Couldn't get the bike into neutral. What could you guys think it is? And where could i get this work done? Thanks.
