its just a 4 mil setup with cpi's. i thought that was WAY to big to but thats just what tdr told me to start with. what should i go to? probably 27.5 would be good hey?

Ok i have this bogging problem and Im pretty sure its just the first part of the throttle that does it so Im guessing its my pilots. My bike starts perfectly, its really loaded up when it starts and wont clean out till i take it down the road and burn it out and when i go back to idle it only idles for a second and then starts loading up again. It just seems really boggy on the bottom end but once i get it wound out it runs about 95 percent i would say. The carbs have 330 mains and i think 35 pilots. The plugs have good color but when i stop and check the plug they are wet. Im thinking my pilots are way to big but Im sure you guys know way more than me. Im not very good at this yet so any help is appreciated

Ok this is going to sound dumb but say u had a completely stock banshee and had one with a completely stock motor but put a 4 mil in it with no pipes or anything, just enough so it will work like shave the head. Would there actually be a power increase? and if so how much do u think there would be?

Thanks for all the support guys! If i do decide to change it out ill keep you updated. should rip like crazy if i get it to work. I might turn it into a two seater to but that undecided so far

you dont think that the 700 efi motor will push way more horse power with a pipe and programmer already on it? I have no idea what that little 250 puts out for horsepower, i just bought it like a week ago

What do you think about a odyssey go cart that normally has a 250 in it and swap it out with a raptor 700 motor? I have an old odyssey and a raptor motor and some suspension parts from it and was thinkin of building a small sand rail. If i did some suspension upgrades on the odyssey i think it would be pretty sweet. Does anyone think this would be really hard to do?

i just put in a 4 mil stroker crank with a milled head. boysen reeds on stock cages. k and n in stock airbox with lid. cpi pipes with stock porting. im running stock carbs and am at about 1700 feet and was wondering what size mains, pilots i should go with and how many turns out the air screw should be and where my needle clip should be if anyone can get it as close as they can? Any help or opinions would be great thanks oh yea i forgot im running at about 145-150 psi compression in both cylinders

I just learned something new now. i checked my air screws to make sure they were 2 turns out and took it for a ride and then when i got back i let it idle for a about 3 minutes and then its like it just ran out of gas. Any thoughts on that? -

Ok well thanks for the help ill rip the carbs out of it tomorow and see whats going on. also whats the float height supposed to be on the stock carbs? -

my right side(sitting on the bike) smokes more. Im pretty sure it wouldnt be the crank seal its a brand new stroker crank, at least i hope thats not the problem. i cleaned my carbs top to bottom before i put them in with brand new jets. But i did just notice somethin that never went away. right before i started it for the first time i put gas in and it all came out the carb drain so i thought the floats were stuck so i tapped on the carbs and they stop leakin gas. but they still leak a little bit ive noticed. what would that be and could that be why its doin this. it looks like its leakin out of both carb drains though -
hey i just put my 4 mil stroker together and im just breaking it in. but when i get on the gas it smokes out of one side way more than the other side. i checked the plugs and one side looks rich which is the side that smokes a lot and the other side looked almost perfect. its taking a lot of performance away because it almost feels like one cylinder cuts out when ur reving it up. Is this something with the carbs or is my problem bigger than that?

I just put in a 4 mil stroker and i took it for a ride with my gas mixed for break in and the plugs look perfect. If i go to the proper mix ratio after the break in is my jetting gunna have to be changed because there will be less oil in the fuel? Im having a blonde moment right now so help me out please?

my head just got back from getting milled so i dont think its warped. but i got it working though but they sent this gasket and i asked a mechanic and he said i shouldnt have to put any glue or anything but i phoned the place that i got the gaskets from and they said that these are different gaskets and that they require glue becuase there's no sealant spray on them like other gaskets have i guess. but thanks for the other ideas. i checked all that stuff out and decided to phone the guy.

i just finished putting my cases back together and and putting my new top end in. i did the leak down test which was good and compression test and it showed that i had 150 pounds in each cylinder. so i put everything together and i started filling up the anti freeze and then it started leaking out where the head gasket is. i looked inside the cylinders and are pretty sure theres no antifreeze inside the motor but i cant get it to seal the anti freeze from leaking to the outside. the gasket i got was a regular paper gasket but it had a metal ring put around the edges around the pistons and im thinking the metal sealed enough to keep the anti freeze out but the paper part of the gasket wasnt tight enough so it would leak outside the cylinders. sorry bout the novel i wrote but im just tryin to explain the best i could. any ideas on how to check if theres anti freeze inside the cylinder? and is there any way to get it to seal up so i dont have to take the head off or am i just missing something really dumb?

Hey i was wondering if anyone had any ideas about how to get the pipe and the silencer to come really tight together cause i can only get them together about half way. I was also wondering about my air box and if i have to take it off cause the pipes dont come to close to the airbox but i just heard u have to take it off with these pipes. Thanks for any help

I was just curious to how much horsepower i should get with my new motor. I got 4 mil stroker, long rod pistons, k and n in the airbox, cpi pipes, runnin at about 145 psi compression. how much horsepower would i get with all this and how much would i get with porting on top of that? just curious about the difference in porting and cause im gettin it in a couple weeks so im gettin excited like a little school girl

i have a completely stock motor and im gunna get a 4 mil stroker. i wasnt planning on getting porting done just yet so im not sure what all i need. I want it to run on premium gas and on stock pistons if possible. I guess what im askin is can i buy the crank, pistons, pipes, spacer plate and put it together like a stock motor and drive it or do i HAVE to have some things in particular to make it work.i looked around on the search but couldnt find the info i was looking for. any help would be appreciated

I have one!!! I thought it was very nice. Looks like its even a little bit polished to for some shine. i dont remember exactly cause its been awhile but i think they are located in vancouver if im not mistaken so the price is prolly canadian. I looked for the cheapest radiator i could find and that was by far the cheapest. Ive only seen 1 or 2 others that compare in prices. For the price i say go for it -
i was wondering what the horsepower difference would be between a 4 mil stroker motor that was ported with cpi's and a stock motor that was ported with cpi's. My bottom end went out on mine so i need to rebuild it all anyway so im lookin to give my stock motor a little more boost. Im just looking for some horsepower numbers so i can decide what i want to do for mine. And i was wondering if a 4 mil stroker is just as reliable as a stock motor. Im pretty sure that i want pipes and porting eventually and was also wondering where the best place is to get this stuff. i figure you guys are probobly the best people to talk to about this stuff and will point me in the right direction.

Hey i seen this ad in the back of a dirt wheels for TDR. I was wondering if anyone has done bisness through them and what they thinkn about them. I was going to get a 4 mil stroker kit and porting and maybe some cpi's. Can they do good port work and are their prices fair?
