  1. Here's what one guy from there suggested: the clutch needs to be loaded as power increases, this has been one of my nitrous quandrys, he needs to add alot of weight to get the rpms' back down and reduce slippings. something like 62 grams Id say, problem is it will be sluggish off the bottle. hope he has a case saver(not a traditional one but a weld on reinforcement to the case's)
  2. These guys on this site have built some real fast polaris's. One guy built a chrome-moly frame for his'.He got the complete quads weight down to 245 lbs. He also had a custom drag axle built too.It is a rigid too. Several of them have dropped alot of weight off them. I'm thinking one of them said something about a 700 polaris belt working but don't quote me on that. I'll see if I can get some phone numbers.
  3. If you get a great port job and the right tires, you should smoke him with no problem. I'm 99% sure he won't be a problem if you can hook up and hang on.
  4. Does your buddy visit the internet much?If so I found a website he should visit(www.gen3usa.com). These guys know alot.I heard HPD makes a good belt. Those guys on the gen3 may know of a better one. I have heard of these going mid 4's.There's another guy that is going to try alcohol and nitrous hopefully going low 4's.That's insane.I think I'll post this in the image section.
  5. It was definitely not pampered, but I see the potential. It's a 400 sport. It's still dirty in the picture although I had been cleaning on it. Have alot of plans for it.
  6. While I was at work today,my dad sold my chevy truck.I didn't get exactly what I wanted for it but got close. With the money I got for the truck and the money from the parts I sold SoCalinit I almost had what the guy with the 2 polaris' wanted for them.I called him tonight and asked him if he would take it.He said he would take it.These are definitely some answered prayers. So tomorrow I get to go pick up a 250 trailblazer(for the family) and a 400 sport (for me). The 250 will get minor mods and the 400 well let's just say it won't be left stock.Hehehehe!!!!!
  7. Thanks guys.I thought I'd be disowned.LOL! Yeah,my girl will love it.It will be something we can do together. She will even help me modify it.Not bad for a 2 1/2 year old.
  8. Thanks. That means alot. Just hearing about the 250 made me want to jump for joy,but I was afraid I'd go through the roof. That would be expensive.LOL!
  9. I am 99% sure I just bought a quad. I'm going to go get it saturday. The guy has a 250 trailblazer and a 400 sport. I sold some parts today so I'm buying the 250. I'm still trying to sell some stuff so I can go get the 400 too. I'm very excited. My little girl and I prayed about this last night and things seem to be working out great so far. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although I'm wanting these polaris's,I might end up with another banshee some day. It could happen.
  10. Here's where the brackets had been rewelded. Both have been. Can't see it when mounted on the quad.
  11. The carbs, intakes, and filters are sold. Here's some pictures.
  12. I have a set of stock cylinders with a RDZ level 1 porting with a shaved head.I think they are on their 3rd or 4th bore. Not sure though. $300 shipped. PM if interested.
  13. Thanks. SoCalinit is also a great guy to do business with.
  14. They are small bore and fit on stock cylinders
  15. I have an '82 chevy swb truck for sale.It has a 400 small block/stock except headers and flowmasters. It is automatic. It does need some work like paint, air doesn't work, and might need an intake gasket. It will make a great project truck. Can be a daily driver but is hard on gas. I live in Paragould,Ar. PM me if interested.Thanks.
  16. I still have some good parts. --Podos +10 swingarm,no link, round housing:it is painted black and needs a little touch up-$300 shipped --chrome foot pegs:small piece of chrome chipped off one--$65 shipped --cpi out of frame drag pipes w/silencers:the brackets have been rewelded which is normal--$380 shipped --keihin 35mm PWK's converted to alcohol with K&N filters--$300 shipped --vito billet intakes--$125 shipped --I might be selling the wicked atv front spindle mounts that you can use brakes. They were on when I had the wreck. Also has a small dent. One may be slightly warped.Let me know if interested. Pictures coming soon.
  17. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yelrotflmao:
  18. Hope she gets well soon. That has to be tough. I have a 2 1/2 year old girl. She means the world to me. Kids are so precious. God bless you and your family.
  19. Thanks.I thought I "might" be over the quads.I was wrong. I cleaned out the shop this afternoon. It was depressing. Looked so empty. The part I really enjoy is the build.Seeing the ups truck pull up is like a kid seeing christmas presents under the tree. The performance gains=priceless.Seeing lower e.t.'s will be a thrill even if it's not as fast as what you guys have. This might be what it takes for me to get ready for a banshee again.Who knows? I don't expect to rule the world with a polaris, but it will be nice to be competitive with some. I can't wait to hear the sounds and smell of my own piped 2 stroke again.
  20. I think the 700 is ok.It doesn't look bad and the one I saw run done pretty good against some YFZ's. Sure a ported banshee will smoke it,but it should. You are entitled to your opinion though.
  21. Hey guys.I've got a few more parts to sell and a truck that hopefully will be selling soon. Then I plan to be getting another quad. I've wanted to build a 400 sport for a long time now.Time to start on that.I'll be on the look out for one before too long if I get this stuff sold.I'll be looking for a 2X4 sport or scrambler 400.Not interested in the 500.I'll be taking off as much weight as possible, motor work,pipe,etc...I'm hoping to be able to break into the 4's in the 300 ft.Might have to settle for low 5's.This will take a while.Hopefully it won't take spray. I've heard of them going mid to high 4's. I'm not saying I'll never get another banshee, but I want to have a quad I can race yet still take my little girl for a ride.I will confess though,it will probably end up a drag quad.
