  1. I am putting an 83 RZ350 into my banshee. The motor is all stock right now but I am sure there will be porting in the future. I mostly ride trails but I don't want a bottom end only machine. I would like a little more on the bottom than my piped engine has now and a lot more throught the mid and top end. I want an all around machine really. That is quite a tall order but I think I have a good start. The porting will help the flow when the power valve opens the port fully. I am wondering what sprocket I should get. I know that the RZ from the factory is a little higher geared. Should I stay with the stock gearing and rely on the increased power of the engine to help pick up the bottom end or should I change it. I am also considering a CV carb sytem. I am considering both the proline and the trinity versions. I am a little concerned about the proline version with the longer runner putting too much emphasis on the lower end and running short of air on the top. As for pipes they will probably be Rocket pipes but due to their increased delivery times I may go with CPI or any of the other higher end pipes. Which sprockets and to CV or not to CV that is the question.
  2. I'll take it for 50 shipped. Do you take PayPal?
  3. whatwasithinking_9@hotmail.com How much do you think it weighs?
  4. I know the CDI and coil connections are different from year to year. Is there any difference between the rectifier and powervalve controller connections? I have read several things about the difference in the first two parts I mentioned but nothing about the others. Anyone with working experience help me out. Also I could use some parts let me know what you got.
  5. Wife comes in and sees her husband sitting on the couch watching T.V. The bitching commences...you haven't done anything today. He answers I have too, I killed two male flies and three female flies today. She asked, How did you know they where male and female flies. He answers...I killed the two males flies on a beer can and the femal flies were on the phone.
  6. I got mine from a dude that picked it up from a police impound auction. They guy bought it but never rode it. I bought it from him for 2k about two years ago it is a 2001 model. The police got it from a guy using it to run crystal meth out of the woods where he cooked it up. The cops got a call chased him down on the bike. He escaped but the next day they found the bike in the middle of a field. He had ran out of gas and was afraid to go back for it. Now it's mine...thank god for drug addicts.
  7. Capatalism won't let that happen. The motorcycle/ATV industy is huge. The ol'mighty dollars generated from the sale and licensing of ATVs makes it impossible to do away with. There will be change like the death of two strokes and three wheelers but they will always be there. One thing we all need to be careful of is how and where we ride. If you are damaging a farmers crop it is a nail in our coffin. My friend and I invited this other guy to ride with us. We were riding on the gravel roads quietening down the engines past houses so as to not spook the horses or disturb the occupants. This kid on every shift had to kick up roost. Every coner had to be slid around. I told him about it but he did it anyway. If you are that guy knock it off. You are the reason this stuff happens in the frst place. That and the gay tree huggers. lol
  8. My wheelies always seem to come unexpectidely. Like when I am drag racing and it finds the only spot of solid ground on the hole strip. I usually pass the balance point on my way to falling on my a**. Last time it happened my shee ended up rolling over the edge of a field row and into a ditch. I know where the balance point is but I don't have the nuts to keep her there.
  9. I know what you mean brother. Mine was stock as a rock when I picked it up. Three days later it was piped w/ reeds. The difference was amazing. The stock pipe is so restrictive, quiet but restrictive. I raced a guy that bought an 04 and I can smoke him every day of the week and twice on sunday. My buddy on the other hand makes us both look sick. He has dumped the long green in his and it shows. Like the fellas said they are all still two stroke twin cylinder screamers...Whats not love about that?
  10. How's a guy supposed to make his bike faster than it really needs to be without parts? I know I know NCAA basketball is on but pull yourself away form the T.V. go out ot the garage, dig around in the parts bin for those RZ parts you have lying around. Then send me a message (bonus: when your wife says you have done nothing but watch basketball all day you can tell her you made 50 bucks just walking out to the garage). Help me out fellas.
  11. I am starting my RZ project and I need a wiring harness, CDI, Powervalve control unit, and voltage regulator. If you have any of these parts let me know.
  12. That's a helpful bit of information. I guess i am going to print a large copy of the RZ wiring harness. Then I can flow the wiring and figure out what I am cutting what I am keeping and how it ties in to the banshee harness. Thanks for you help BenBB. Please send me an e-mail and I will forward my work account so that I can recieve your Service Manual. My hotmail account is way to small for that. MSC
  13. I recently started my RZshee project. I purchased an engine from an 84 US spec RZ. I have a stator, flywheel and powervalve servo motor. I think the only other parts I need are the harness, regulator/rectifier, powervalve contol unit and the CDI. I have searched the archives and I keep seeing handle bar switches? Not real sure which one/ones I need. The harness diagrams in the archives were lost in the big dump so if anyone has a diagram I would be grateful. Not entirely sure how to work the lighting. A 225 watt stator should require a higher wattage light. Haven't really did my search homework on that so I will get back to those question another time. If anyone has the parts I need please send me a message @ whatwasithinking_9@hotmail.com Thanks for all your help, V/r MSC
  14. My buddy has the 35 on his. His bike is modded fairly heavily. His bike pulls on the bottom end like a four stroke. He has a 2 inch extention on the swingarm and it will still bring the front up with ease. We swapped out the single carb for a pair of larger than stock (not sure of the size) carbs. The two carbs didn't help on the top end at all. I think it's a great option if you don't plan to go real radical with your combo. If so you will outgrow the single quickly but if you stay away from the Cheetah kit you should be okay.
  15. You guys are nuts...thats a great price. I bid on them, it is cheaper than getting them from Yamaha. You guys just wait till I see you at the dunes. As long as you go really slow I will sneak up on with my quiet pipes. Then I will jump in fromt of you for a split second. Later suckers, I am going to talk to some hot chicks on the internet. Who's the man now!
  16. There is no link, I bought them a long time ago. Just now getting around to bitching about it.
  17. I bought a set of white fenders form a dude on E-bay. After I won the auction he mentioned shipping and I told him we lived in the same town. We set up a meeting time/place. He pulled out the fenders and they where cut for a IMS tank. At first I thought I had not carefully read the listing but when I got home and looked it up it wasn't mentioned anywhere. I scanned the pictures and he took them in such a way as to not show the hack job. Then the bastard had the nerve to ask me for a positive comment.
