OK i need money b.c i now need a tranny in my car so the tecate project has to go....i have never even torn it apart or nothing...never herd it run or nadda. this is what i DO know: 87 tecate 4 its a roller. back tires are bald and fronts are decent. soemthing in the front end is kinda frigged up. one tire is toed in. no idea. it has BRAND NEW in the package flywheel,gasket set,boysen reeds, and a weisco piston. it has no fenders,seat,carb,throttle,and silencer. the head pipe is in good shape. the old piston is there and looks good. the motor just needs to be gone through. it looks like theres a brand new headlight also. radatior all looks good. i do not have a title for this bike. can do a bill of sell. this is not STOLEN. i have no pics at this time. if any ?s feel free to ask. i have no idea what to even start out to sell this for. all REASONABLE offers welcome. i am located in upstate NY. thanks, Joe

i run D&D pipes and cool head. D&D has dfone alot of work to my bike. its funny i see this. i just got my bike back together w/ a 4mm stroker and 5 mm long rods and the bolts on the head are leaking anti-freeze. i have run this cool head for a year now and first w/ problems.

ZR 900 all the way!!! i am not a big fan of the new chasis. i will always own and ride a ZR 800/900. i am in the mix of buying a 99 ZRT 800. i am 20 min. from Tug hill.

i think the fmf gnaryls had more low end then PT mids. but of course not as much as a 2-into-1 pipe.

ok i have all the mods done in my sign. and i have 280 mains and i am looking to rejet and need to know if the stock needle will work or should i go to the vitos needle? thanks.

toomeys,pro-circut,fmf,DMC,my D&D pipes i just had to trim the fenders just alittle bite. nothing noticable.

ok would i even be in competion w/ like the 7mm strokers or any of the big bores w/ my set up as following. GRR outframe pipes D&D cool head w/ 20cc domes on high octane fuel 4mm stroker w/ 5 mm long rods bored .20 over v-force 3 reeds and spacers stock frame and tranny and swingarm (but looking for a +6) lectron carbs size still depending and D&D port job advance timing either 4 or 6 degress still depending

i know the CPI out frames have a pipe coming of each side. do the GRR have both pipes coming off the same side (i think that looks fucking awesome)

ok i am down to the last couple of things to complete my bike. my mods are in my sign. expect for the lectron carbs comming. i am stuck between: rockets shearers CPI'S CPI out frame and GRR outframe pipes i am thinking outframe pipes are putting out more HP then the inframes but i could be wrong? please help me out.

i have been hearing some good things on lectron carbs? i cant find out what sizes they come in though. i am looking for 33s if possible and also are these a good carb to trail ride and easy to tune? thanks.

wonder if you have a stroker crank with the longer rods? is it considered a long rod or a stroker motor or both? lol

i am looking to buy some carbs for my 4mm stroker. 34s alright for trails and locla drag racing? also how much and what kind u recommend?

i know a guy who has had a 87 tecate 4 in his backyard for 2 years and is sick of looking at it. the motor has been in his grage w/ brand new cly. and stn. bore pistion,new tranny and bearings in the motor. the plastic is in decent shape and not all is there. all new bearing in the front and rear end. new carb. new flywheel, needs stator and pipe and silencer. said he would take 400 tomorrow. he has so many other projects going on ahs no time. he drag races a banshee,2 blaters,and a quadracer 250. so worth 400 bucks or no? will it be hard to find parts? also it needs a new back shock.

ok i just put a 4mm crank and 5 mm longer rod on mine bored .20 over. hwats my CC? and also about how much HP do i have my mods are: D&D cool heads (20 cc domes) D&D pipes vforce 3 reeds and spacers boost bottle k&n airfilter (no lid or snorkerl) 4mm crank 5mm long rod .20 over ricky stator timing plate (+4) any idea how much HP?

no fucking way a 100. i run LOTS of pavement and my friends bike is fast. he has port work/pod filters/t-5s/prPD cool head/16/41 gearing and he ran 92 on RADAR. I'm here to tell ya 90 at the MOST and thats being nice.
