  1. dude, this whole time the problem was my airbox lid. I started it with the lid off, and there shee was screaming. I can't believe I overlooked it. I was so psyched to get the pipes that I overlooked the other things. The added perfomance is really something. I kept the 260's in, and just used my dremel to cut a few slots in the lid, and removed the snorkel. I bought my shee in 97 brand new, and never added any mods till now. I waited too long. The stock pipe really hinders the performance. Now I can just gas it, and the front picks up like nothing. This is just the beginning. My shee doesnt have many hours on it at all. It sat in my shop for awhile. I been too busy with my business, and family to play with it. Now I'm hooked! I been riding since I was 7 yrs old, and am at the ripe old age of 29 now. I can't believe that I forgot the thrill. My wife thinks I'm nuts. I went to the parts dealer to get some jets, and what did I do? I ordered a 2005 Hyabusa! I'm picking it up next week. I got the bug. Again. I really thought my next bike was going to be a custom chopper, but the speed addiction is overwhelming! Thanks for your posts guys. Johnnytalent
  2. I realize that everyone here recommends like 260 mains, and up. For some odd reason, After I installed my pipes, I checked to see how it ran with the stock 200's. Mean ass mid to top end, but not much low. I then installed the 260's that I bought with the pipes. It bogs out when put in gear. No powerband at all. The guy at my local parts dept recommende 220's, so that is what I have now, and I'm ready to install them. I adjusted the airscrew with the 260's and still no luck. It is in the 30's, here and I'm at sea-level. Someone please help me. Thanks.
  3. I have a brand new exhaust for a Blaster. Never been used Fatty pipe, and Turbine core 2 silencer. I will except any reasonable offer. You can e-mail me at [email protected]. You can also call me at 302-998-5185, or ICQ me at 276129088 John
  4. I thought that the thinner hose might have been an overflow. it is still attached to the clutch cover but the other end came off, and I can't find out where it goes. it comes out of the water pump area to what? Please help. I am trying to ride today. It is not the thick radiator hose, but the small one.
  5. thanks for the welcome.
  6. Sounds decent, but I'm into heavy shit. I live in Delaware, not too far from you. Alot of my friends play in local bands. You should try playing some of the clubs down here on Main st. in Newark. My boy is a multimedia wizard, mixing, video, everything. If you want something done than e-mail me at [email protected]. Newark is a tight ass college town. All kinds of bars, clubs, and women. Fridays, and saturday nights, you would think you were at the real Mardis Gras. It's pretty cool, you should check it out. The college girls would really dig your music. You could probablly drop more drawers than exlax.
  7. Thanks man, I'm going out to the shop now to rip this damn case cover off again for the fith time. I am pretty good with a wrench, I can't believe i've had this much trouble with a simple clutch install. I have a 10 second mustang gt, that I built from stock by myself. I thought I was the man when I installed the new clutch, adjusted it, topped the fluids off, and had her running in less than an hour. Goes to show you that haste makes waste. I just found this site. Pretty nice. Thanks for your help everyone.
  8. Thanks for the reply. I was talking about the shaft with the phillips head to adjust the clutch. It has a nut on it that stays stationary in the pressure plate as you adjust it. It slides in the hole in the nut that holds the boss clutch on. As you turn it with a phillips head screwdriver to adjust the clutch, the nut stays stationary either pushing the pressure plate out, or letting the spring nuts pull it in After I set my clutch and put it back together, When the clutch turns, it is making the nut become loose. Making my clutch feel as though the cable has been disconnected. Should the nut stay in place by itself, or is loctite the normal procedure when installing a new clutch.
  9. I have installed a new clutch on my 97 banshee, and had to rip it back down 4 more times because the clutch keeps getting lose. The center shaft will loosen up after a couple of minutes with the shee running. Is it possible to put loctite on the shafts threads to hold it in the same position? I have adjusted it to point everytime, but it just will not stay. I really need to get this fixed cause I am suffering from a shee withdrawl.
