  1. been through all that. i tried switching the float bowl, made it worse. i made sure the crossover tube is connected. i just rebuilt the motor. 140lbs per cylinder. im clueless unless my choke is bad. is that possible? the motor should rev when i pull the choke but it bogs and stalls instead

  2. Try a larger pilot??

i know i still have the stock pilots, but it maintains great idle and doesn't bog or anything when i rap on the throttle. i had dealership tell me that seldom do you need to change the pilot jet. how can i inspect the choke? is there anything i can see that would tell me its bad?

  3. my previous post stated that my shee would cold start only if i used starter fluid. i checked everything and its still the same prob. i recently trying pulling the choke out 1/2 when it was idling and warm, but it stalled right away. i thought that the rpm's show rise. gimme some feed back, tell me what you think it could be

  4. check your air filters. my shee had air filters on it that weren't feeding enough air to the carbs. made it run on one cylinder until i was at open throttle. find somewhere clean and dry to test and run your shee without an air filter. see if that helps. if it fixes the prob, just by new filters. by the way, what kind of filter are you running?

  5. Just pull the choke carb and pull the bowl off. You should see a brass tube in the bowl. At the bottom of the tube should be a little tiny jet. If you see that, then your fine and might want to blow air through it while its apart, if not, then your bowls are switched...

    i'll try that. thanks

  6. make sure you didn't switch the carb bowls when you took it apart. ONly one carb bowl has the choke jet in the bottom of the bowl for the choke carb...also make sure the choke tube between the carbs is still there and that you didn't put the slides in the carbs backwards (cutaway should face air box)

im sure everything is back together good cuz once it started, i rode it a little and it ran great. tons of power. im just wondering why it is so hard to start initially.

  7. my 99 shee will not kick start for the life of it. i ran a compression check and it was a little low so i put a new top end in with wiseco pro-lites. my compression is around 140lbs per cylinder now, still won't kick start. i sprayed starter fluid in the airbox and it started right away. maybe something with fuel delivery. please help!
