All four of your carbs are junk. One set doesn't have slides, the other needs the slides replaced. One set has the idle screw threads stripped out on both carbs, the other set has the idle screws being held nice and secure by teflon tape. The throttle cable is rubbed raw and it even looked like there were two different size needles.
How in the f*ck do you think you got ripped off? You tried to rip me off and it failed. You got your sh!tpile of carbs back just like you sent them.
It's really comforting to know how many immature people are on this site. It's also nice to know how many of you are eager to assume and jump to conclusions.
That's exactly why I'm thinking about running some angle steel stock there. I think it should match up with the aluminum angle stock that is already on the nerfs in that area. Just drill two holes in the steel angle to put the engine mount bolts back in. It has got to help.
Flimsy is right! I can take my hand and move my nerfs up and down no problem. That's why I feel like there should be something connecting them up front.
I've got a set of AC ProPeg Nerfs without the heel guards. I bought them from a guy on this site. The problem is....they mount different than some of the other AC ProPeg Nerfs I've seen. Did AC bring out two different designs for mounting? These bolt up to the front engine mounts just below the exhaust flange. They don't have the two "tabs" that stick up so you can bolt them to the frame. Also, they are seperated up front where they mount. Nothing holding them together. Is there suppose to be some kind of "angle stock" supporting both nerfs up front? They have aluminum "angle stock" welded to them up front but I didn't get any hardware with them except for the peg mounts. That's another thing, my peg mounts only have one hole. Not two holes. What gives????????
Hmmm, I'd like some parts off of her. How about....the grab bar, bumper, front shocks, and the peg kick-ups. Shoot me a price for that stuff! Heck, at least the grab bar, bumper and peg kick-ups, then you could still sell it as a roller!
Well, sounds like an air leak to me too. If you've checked the topend, then I would have to say the culprit very well could be the crank seals. I've seen the exact same thing happen to an LT250R and guess what happened when we took the magneto cover off....the crank seal was mangled and fell out. The funny, well not so funny, thing is my buddy couldn't kill the motor just like you said so he had to pull the coil off the plug. Lit him up like a Christmas tree! Good luck.
