  1. Hey I'm going from a 260 main to a 290 do I have to adjust or change needle?
  2. Should I have to change or move the needle clip going up from a 260 to a 290? I'm about to go put the 80 in I'm just curiuous if that had something to do with it too. I know im too big.
  3. Hey, I got some more plugs. I have FMF SST's on FMF Power Core 2's, Pro Design K&N, had 260 jets in it, Pro Design COOL HEAD with 21 cc domes, WB boost bottle, V Force reeds, MSD and Pro X pistons? I think the guy wasent sure. He had it build at his buddys shop. Then I got the TORS removed, Renthals with diamond grips, AC front bumper with mud screen, 22 Realtors with stock gearing on ITP .190 rims, FULL GYTR Yamaha skids and a few little goodies here and there, LSR parking break block off, BILLET water pump, and its a 03 LE btw. But do you realy think going up to 270's MIGHT be enough? Because it had 260's in it. and the guy said his buddy jetted it in the middle of the summer when it was 85 at his shop and it ran perfect (I had it out 5 times in 40-50 and it ran great) and like I said its anywhere frrom 0- 20 here on average now sometimes 30. Anyways thanks for your help. I know theres alot of info about this on here already and its anoying to reply to something like this...... Thx -Bob
  4. Hey I got a banshee few weeks ago, its jetted for summer, runs great in anything above 40 but its been 0- 30 lately so i took out the 260 main that was in it and put in a 290 started it up, started right up first second kick, idled fine by it self, then it just died. started it up drove it slowly around and it kept bogging out and stalling then finaly it just died and I havent been able to start it sence....I also go a 280 main do u guys think I should put in the 280 mains and move the clip up one and that might clear it up? when it was running i only rode for 1-3 min. and it was ok once u got going just keptbogging out. Also when I was taking off the carbs Hit the floats a few times with my hands but not to hard i dont think i messed it up. and Im getting spark and fuel on the plugs. How big of a dif. will going from 290's to 280's make if it wont start and is getting flooded? I dont wanna try a 270 cause it had a 260 in it..... and it ran like a beats in 40- 50 like i said with the 260's but i never rode it in the summer. - Bob
  5. Thanks for all the posts. I'm gonna order some bigger jets next week. Will get back to you guys on how it goes. -Bob
  6. I got her yesterday she has fmf sst, power core 2, pro design kn, 320 or 330 main jets, pro tech pistons? cool head with 21 cc domes, wb boost bottle, MSD and v force reeds. Ran her yesterday it was 40-45 she hauled ass very fast. This morning, woke up saw it was 30 even, wanted to see how she ran in the cold, started up second kick first one was kinda girly kick (I just woke up) pushed her outside, let here idle for about ten min while giving her small revs, putted around for 5 min in first till the crankcase was warm, then rode her fairly hard for 20 min or so. She didnt sputter or anything, ran great. but i noticed a good loss in hp, nothing serious but quite a good dif it also seemed a tad harder to get into the band but still more then rideable. I know I should rejet for the winter and I intend on it. I never tried to jet a two stroke never mind a dual cylinder. My main question is, When I put in the bigger mains should I chnage the pilot or clip at all? or just leave it alone if it works good? I posted this on www.Bluetraxx.com and someone said something about hurting the cylinder walls and loseing compression, there saying thats why it felt weaker. I can see from a hard long ride but from 20 min. you guys realy think I hurt the compression or walls?
