will the clutch still work if a prong is broken off of the basket where the plates go? what about the o-ring on the back of the basket?

Got a book bro; don't help shit. He bought it at Yamaha. Now that I think about it he probably does have all the plates, he just didn't count them and assumed that there was only 5 steel ones and 6 fiber ones. I just called him and asked him to go check but he said he was too tired so fuck it, he can deal with this shit himself. Thanks for all the input guys.

they don't look like they are burned up. when we first got them, we soaked them in oil, but we grinded up that ring so we ordered another one, and in that time, the plates were on a shelf in a closed plastic container. when we went to go and put them on we did not resoak them, but they did have oil residue on them.

hi guys, I need help on installing a new barnett clutch. Just the plates, not basket. Is there anything special I need to do? I called yamaha and they told me that I am not supposed to put on the cushion ring before the plates. My buddy just burned it up doing a burnout on the concrete. We have 5 clutch plates (smooth plates) and 6 friction plates (rough plates). Is that all that I need? We keep putting it on and it continues not to work. It is doing the same thing that it did when the clutch was burned up. When we start the bike and shift it into first, it will not go anywhere and it will not die; we don't touch the throttle and it still does not die. There is an o-ring behind the clutch basket that dried out and broke; will that o-ring keep it from working. Any help is appreciated. Thanks -Blake

why the hell do those bikes have such a long first gear? 100 in first seems kinda weird. you would think the gears would get longer as you progressed through them. i personally have never been on one of those kinda bikes much less know much of anything about them, but they are fast.

What do you have to do before you install a barnett clutch? For example, soak plates in oil, etc.

i got a set of holeshot mx fronts 19-6-10 and the stock shee's rim is 7 inches wide, thats a half inch on each side. that seems like a pretty big gap.

will a six inch wide tire fit on a seven inch wide rim; if so, how does it look?

it fires about 50% of the time when reved up. you can hear when it fires on the left side.

I turn the gas off every time i am done riding because for some reason, the gas drips out of the overflow on the carbs until i turn it off. I do not run the gas out of the carbs though, i just turn the gas off as soon as shut her down. The weather is kinda funny because it gets really cold, then it gets warm, all over night.

what tools do i need and how much do they cost?

I just started up my banshee last night for the first time in about 2 weeks and it started to backfire on the left side. It only backfires on the left side, and when i put my hand in front of the silencer, the exhaust is cold. It ran fine 2 weeks ago but not now. Sometimes it has a hard time starting, so we just pour gas down through the head and it starts right up. Maybe it is the spark plug boot because sometimes it comes off of the wire. I didn't have time to check it but is there anything else it could be like jetting, etc.

So yes i would go with the new "Super Banshee"
