  1. I used the great information that i found on this site to trouble shoot the entier electrical system for my bike and everything checked out fine with the exception of the cdi. Why, becuase there is no test for the cdi, its an electrical componet that ither works or it doesn't. So now do I drop $300 on a new one or can I figure out a better way to fix this issue.
  2. The cdi is shot on my bike. i have an older year j-arm style banshee and i notice that the conectors are diffrent then the newer bikes. Would i be able to buy a newer year cdi box and just splice in the connectors. New box are like $300 for my year, and nobody has them. I see newer ones on ebay all the time but the older ones wth my specifc connector thanks guys
  3. I just bought a brand new vortex clutch basket off of ebay for $108. Its still in the package. Is that a good deal? Anyway Am I going to need those cusions that I keep hearing about with the new clutch basket? The ones that are between the basket and the drive gear on the back. This is the first time that I am changing a clutch basket and I dont want to fuck it up. Thanks guys for all your help!
  4. Whats up guys, maybe I can get some input for my new bike. I am doing a frame up build on an old 1988 banshee. I have the frame all done up and ready to go so now it's motor time! I am having the cylinders bored and honed. And a mild port job done. Im also redoing the clutch and installing a billet water pump impeller as well a fresh top end when I get the cylinders back. I will be putting a cool head on it with DG piped and silencers. My question is do I have to worry about the bottem end. The crank and crank bearings seem to be fine with no play but I kbnow that the bottem end has never been serviced before. Will all these mods that i am doing, do my stock bottom end in?
  5. I was @ home depot today and I found some alluminum threaded nipples that I might be able to use. Going to have to cut off the threaded part but if I get my size right they might work.
  6. im missing just the spacers. I tried to find the hardware vendor but had no luck. I guess i could try to fab something up but I don't want to do shit job with a bunch of washers. Those spacers should be like 2 inches long.
  7. I bought a RAD axle carrier second hand off of EBAY. Carrier is fine but I found out when I wanted to mount my rear brake caliper that I was missing some spacers. Does anybody know where I can get them or maybe if I can make them so how. Help would greatly be appriciated! Thanks
  8. I have two banshee cylinders that need to be freshened up. I was thinking bore them out 20 over and hone them. And maybe a mild port job for track or trail riding. Who can I send them out to that could would provide me with a top end kit as well as the cylinder work. Thanks guys.
  9. try this guy, thats my frame and swing arm at the bottom of the page. Tell him Nick sent ya. http://www.r-central.net/2rsORC
  10. I-CATS are coil amps that you put inline to your spark plug. They are supposed to give your bike power like if your running race fuel but still be running pump gas. Dirt bike mags rave about them. But at $200 a piece, and you need two for a banshee. I would rathr just run race gas.
