  1. If you already have aftermarket head, intake, reeds etc.. your best bet is the cub. You will have to replace all of that if you go with a cheetah. If your starting a build from scratch and buying all those parts anyway then they cost will be pretty close. As far as how much faster? I can't answer that, really depends on your set-up. You may have full blown cheetah and get smoked by a stock bore/stroke banshee. In a perfect world where all things are equal, the cheetah will make more power. It's up to you to put it all together and make it perform at 100%, cause if it's not, a cub will smoke you.
  2. The Polishing Guide!
  3. It should freeze when straight water does, so around 30 your at risk. I'm switching to distilled and ww this spring. I'll probably just leave it in over the winter cause my garage doesn't get very cold.
  4. If I recall correctly, the fibers (material) has a wider footprint mated to its steel surface. Obviously the material and gripping capability of it will play the biggest roll in reducing slippage which you also want longevity in the material as well. Most aftermarket fibers and steels are definitly wider than stock.
  5. Do a search, there should be some good info about it. I use Redline water wetter mixed with antifreeze. You can get the best cooling though using the water wetter with straight distilled water. No freeze protection but you get corrosion and boil protection. If your not worried about freezing, nothing cools better.
  6. You mean NASA isn't using Jeff's clutch is the space shuttle? Well they should!! lol Good point but some people will use that info and buy his clutch and some people will try and save a dollar putting their own together. And I'm sure Jeff appreciate's the call's he gets when people have problems with products they didn't buy from him. Remember, service is worth something.
  7. Yea, but it's burning an awefullly big hole in my pocket.
  8. Well for those of you wondering, the deal didn't go through. DD got a better deal after our initial agreement. I guess it happens and there are no guarantee's till it's in the garage.
  9. Pro-x pistons are the only stock replacement pistons I would consider, if not those then go wiseco's. Rebore's will come a little more frequently using wiseco's.
  10. I'm game as well. End of March will be some decent weather 60/70's during day but 50's at night. But hey, the Clark's make an awesome campfire so it doesn't matter how cool it gets at night.
  11. What year banshee and where's the location?
  12. Yea but your first Honda doesn't get pissed when you get another one.
  13. A couple 10mil cubs and we just forgot a cell phone number.
  14. Lets see, what do I need?
  15. Heading out in the morning, see you all there!!!
  16. I have his cell phone number where he can be reached 24/7 if anyone needs that. J/K I wouldn't do that to ya Jeff.
  17. Did you just say johnny knoxville?
  18. Advance your timing 4 to 5 degrees. Your current jetting should be fine unless you do some other mods.
  19. I would check out the Trinity pipes. They are probably close performers with top end going to the Trinity's. Trinity's quality is second to none, though I feel the Toomey's quality is better than most other steel pipes. I think you can also get them cheaper than the Toomey's. PM rocketpig on here and he can get you a better than list price on them.
  20. I guess peak horsepower has more appeal than width of the power band these days.
  21. Call them directly and ask to talk to Oscar.
  22. If you guys aren't using a die grinder with 3m rol-loc metal polishing discs, you are working entirely too hard. These things make polishing so easy, a caveman could do it.

    4mm Cub

With the new cubs and their popularity, it doesn't surprise me that we hear more about crank failures than before.
  24. This thread should be called "How not to post a picture of your cat"
