    No. Up towards the front to the left side(stator side) bolted up the same way as the coil. If its not there then don't worry. Seems like you found the problem anyway.

    Is your pressure plate on straight? Did you adjust the pancake bearing(or stock)? Did you try to adjust up at the lever?

    All of them. Don't be cheap. I saw your doing a full rebuild. Just do them all. Carrier,swinger, hubs, steering. Put grease zerks in what you feel necessary. If you think it'll be fine, just change it. It'll be nice to ride out for the first time on everything fresh.
