  1. Out here in california banshess are not cheap like they are back east. So you have to make some adj. to your guys price ranges on what his bike should go for.but as someone said you will never get back what you put in to it. go here and take a look for yourselves www.traderonline.com
  2. um his pops dose auto body for thep ast 20 years, so if he dose f*ck up I bet he could do one hell of a job with bondo to fix em lol......sorrry sorry,,,,I couldnt help it porting is not just break out the body grider and go to town. porting on a 2 stroke is alot like choseing a cam on a 4 stroke. joe shmoe could proably do alittle celan up work on the castings etc(de burr etc etc) listien to these guys have someone do it that knows what they are doing.
  3. shredish thanks for reply, but really prefer something closer to stock cause I didnt see where it comes with a don`t have to pay for your first 30 trips to the ER room. any one else have a bike for sale?........looking to stay about 4500 and under
  4. looking 4 a banshee must be a-arm. prefer close to stock un ported etc.pipes, air filter, nerfs, etc are ok.must have clean title in YOUR name(not the previous owner, cousin, ants, sister, brother)located in So.Cal Area closer to San Diego the better. Also must not mind me doing a comp. Test and taking for a spin. please pm thanks Christian
  5. A "sweet" smeel could be some one had ran race gas wiht a sent(they make sent you add in to your gas to make it a little easier on the nose such as cherry, grape pina coldia etc) even though your running pump gas this sent could have goten stuck in to the silincers packing. anouther thing that will make a sweet smell sometimes is coolant being burnt any white smoke??
  6. do you have spark to the plugs?.....pull the plugs ground them(eng case etc) kick it over look for spark
  7. do a search on "torrs removal " i rember reading somewhere on here how to do it wiht out a kit.
  8. from his post it sounds as he has not jetted for conditions. whats you elevation? thats a must to give you a ball park jet size for jetting there is a nice jetting guide in the FAQ
  9. dunedemon there is one truck that has run a air type of shock in SCORE or BITD( TT toyota big time money and alot of R&D im sure to get them to work but way to many possible problems for my taste)) and I belive they were outtlawed in corr. I`m thinking one of the nissian trucks about 5 years ago or so. but after looking at the page on FOX they sound more like a Air bumpstop more than a "shock".
  10. they would proably be great as a drag (keep the psi semi high so they extend fast and compress slow transfering weight)or free style (big air hard hits)shock .But I would think that they would get really stiff and expaned from heat caused by friction rasing the ride height and screwing up the front end alinment from the heat if you were to make a long ride on them. There has been high end desert racing trucks use air shocks and they used the eng coolant to keep the shocks at a constant temp to be able to dial them in. As you can tell Im taking this off the aspects of a 7,000 lbs truck racing 250-1000 miles of ruff ass desert running this type of shock.
  11. I have a question, and its kinda on the same lines as this meth..... Everyone says a banshee handles like crap, and is only good for drag`s any truth to this?...as I want a bike that will do a bit of everything, from playing in the dirt at the desert to roosting around on the dunes.ButI also dont want to drop large amounts of money to make it handle..... can any one sheed some light on this ???
  12. thats the truth! I`ve been looking for a shee for the past month or so.and 5 grand wont buy you much.stock a few years old and in need of some maintence. or piped, air cleaner some metal mulisha stickers twisted frame and some kid telling you how SICK his shee is. lookin the traderonline.com and the recycler.com and compare ones that are simialiar
  13. I belive on bluetraxx.com there is a few post about the yfz and buring up bearing and snapping rods.
