Yea it was pre-jetted for Sea Level... I am about 2,584 ft. above Sea Level.. Tucson Az.. What do you think is a good starting point for my current elevation??? Also, as I said in my first post, it sounded like it was Rich, but then I pulled the new plugs I put in and they were really close to a light tan.. Not even brown at all.. that is what is so confusing to me..

Hey fellas.. Engine is ported with 34mm PJ's. I can get it to idle just fine and rev throughout the powerband while in neutral no problem. Slight hesitation while tring to rev from idle but then really revs.. Problem is trying to get going in first gear.. She really 'bogs' down and I have to really get her revvin before she will start haulin ass... I just pulled both carbs out, cleaned them etc etc.. I have 158 mains, pilots I have no idea... These are brand new carbs, pre-jetted.. Another question is where is the Pilot Jet located??? I easily found the Main when I took the float bowl off but didnt see a Pilot.. Didnt really look either.. I would like to get rid of the hesitation when I try to get out of first gear.. I pulled the plugs after I let her cool down and they are tannish/brown.. not oily at all... That has me a little concerned about it being lean but then why the bog down?? That is where I am confused... Thanks fellas for the replies! Ken

Thanks for the replies.. These are brand spankin' new Carbs.. I dont think the needle is worn at all.. When I took them apart I sprayed the shit out of the floats but didnt really inspect them enough to see if they were stickin.. I will take them apart again tomorrow to see if that is it.. Yea I thought the same thing.. So I took them both apart, cleaned them up etc etc.. Same shit as before.. Could this be the reason for the hard starting?? Wen I do get her started, she smokes pretty good from the pipes.. Possibly the mains?? They are 158's and I am about 2k above sea level in Az. 34mm Pj's with a ported engine

I have some gas that is coming out from underneath the carbs.. I turn the petcock, jump on and start kicking.. Cant get her to start and there is gas all over the floor.. Its coming out from one of the lines from the Carbs.. It has been doing that since I got her to Glamis but it would start right up there no probs.. Filters are pretty dirty and I will clean them up now but what is causing the gas to come out?? Thanks

I cant remember if I saw something here that said I had to actually connect some wires that I cut in order for the Shee to start.. I searched all over and couldnt find that damn post...

OK.. But do I need to do anything with the wiring harness?? I COMPLETELY removed TORS with the new Carbs and want to cut the connectors that are on the wiring harness that connect to the old TORS. Thanks for the reply Boonman!

I totally redid the motor ( Ported, polished, etc etc..) I got PJ 34's and was wondering if I had to do anything different to the wiring harness?? Can I cut the connectors to the TORS and just tape it or do I hae to do something else? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

How many tooth is the stock sprocket? I am getting my Shee ported and polished, 34 MM Carbs etc etc etc and would like to get new front and rear sprockets. Would like to get something specifically for my bottom-mid range port. Thanks fellas!
