  1. just post away, i know i chew and i quit smoking! later wade
  2. well the biggest reason im getting it redone/replaces is im a 330# guy, pretty big for a bike with stock suspension! later wade
  3. try a library in a big town, thats where i got my free banshee manual, just go copy the pages. later wade
  4. yeah well i havent ever rode my banshee when it was under my ownership....now i have to put in a stroker motor, and lots of other stuff, not to mention im on my 4th car.....im only 17... other then that life is great, its the weekend, defenetly drinkin some pepsi this weekend!!!! later wade
  5. hey, im buying some worls shocks for the front of the shee in july, but after i get my engine rebuilt and whatnot i wont be able to afford to get a rear shock, can i rebuild the one i have to my weight and riding style? doesnt ebiach(sp) make a spring kit for the rear of banshees that is stiffer? thanks wade
  6. so what do you tupically charge for this the mod and backcut nuetral? thanks wade
  7. well my engine is apart, and ive seen pics of the shift star modification. what is it, can i do it my self, and is it worth doing for a dune/trail machine? only racing is just play dragin, nothing seriouse, the engine i am putting into this bike is the passion 12 port 4mm stroker, just curiouse on stuff i should do now, rather then put my bike together, and then want to do it later, only to rip the bike apart. thanks wade
  8. well i best be having a few of those tossed in when i get my engine done, nice wade
  9. yeah i would say stay away from muscle cars till later in life, i had a nova i just got rid of cause i couldnt afford the insurace ( not as bad as a camaro) or the tickets or gas. i would get a rice burner or a small pickup. i know own a toyota tacoma, love it to death, just wishi had more money for the banshee!! later wade
  10. that didnt make any sense 350t, and of course we thought it was on a banshee, look at what site your on! i would say have a friend sit on your seat then find a way to keep the spring compressed while he is on it. i woulnt use zip ties, unless you used some monster ones, and alot of them later wade
  11. just a bump for you, dont know if you sold or not, but thats a great price, if i didnt already have a cocker and a mag i would buy this setup! later wade
  12. well wouldnt you be pissed if someone sold you a bike that didnt have the clutch operating right and then had to spend 500+ to get it fixed. i would at least tell them exactly whats wrong with it before you sell it. later wade
  13. i would think that it would work for awhile, but i know it would vibrate like crazy for not being balanced, and a balanced engine is a happy engine, i wouldnt risk it. wade
  14. cool ill talk to him. thanks for the help guys later wade
  15. well, i didnt figure on spending the 200 to get it all done, i should have clarified myself i meant 200 for pistons, rings gaskets etc, (weisco top end kit) but i want to use forged pistons, as for the "i think" that meant that i havent miked the walls of the jugs yet, but im postive there overbord, just not sure how much, i may have to wait untill july to rebuild the beast, and get a killer motor, cause as she looks right now, nothing is good, im pretty sure that the reason the motor went was the carb was not working correctly, the reeds are almost all the way gone, and the gas he had in it was mixed at like 50-60:1 those combos equal one busted motor, he gave me a 100 bucks back today, and that was good enough for me, cause i only paid 500 for the bike, now 400 i guess, had it been someone else besides a friend i would have kicked the shit out of him, and then took 1/2 my money or more back, but oh well. so does passion racing have a website? i think ill go ahead and do the chassis work now, and in july do the motor, later wade
  16. well it took me a total of like 9 minutes(j./k) to get the head off, but its off now, i dont really ahve a piston in the right jug anymore, you can still tell a little but not alot, so then, who wants to reccomend parts?> looking at around 200 to spend rebuilding it, i want to go with a big bore, but i dont think ill have the money till around august so mabey ill do that in the winter, im thinking about just getting a weisco piston set at .040 over, ( already been bored once i belive) and putting on a coolhead/noss head at the same time i do that, but i need to fix whatever is wrong with the tranny ( most likely peices of my piston in my crank) and then i need to get the crank rebuilt trued and welded. sounds like fun! later wade
  17. ok, its the tranny or crank that is sticking, i dont think the pistons are, but i have no idea the history of this bike, so i figure what the hell, do an entire rebuild on her, and while im at it put in some performance stuff. thanks for the help wade oh ps. the grit on the spark plug was a silver color, but it had a bit of carbon on it to! later wade
  18. ok, so if you missed my last post about my banshee, i stated that it would not kick over, nor would it turn over comp starting it, so today i took it apart a little bit, i tore off everything to get the motor out, but then stoped and decided to check the clutch first, everything checked out ok under the clutch cover.....so it wasnt just a bolt holding it, i can turn the engine in reverse direction that it would normally run at, but as soon as it hits the spot of me turning it forward to much, it just seizes, i thought i heard my pistons moving in the jugs so i pulled a plug out, it was black, somewhat oily, and it had a fine grit over alll of it, and in the oil that was on it, not sure what that means, now i know its not a bolt backed out and messing with my cllutch so i cant turn it over, and the pistons are moving when you turn it over backwards, but i cant turn it over the proper way, oh and its not in the magneto eiither, help please!!! IT WAS AROUND 80 TODAY AND I COULDNT RIDE MY NEW BANSHEE sorry for all the errors if i didnt get them, im really tired, and well i must sayt aht ive been hitting a friend called rum and another called vodka all night later wade
  19. no no, i didnt loan my bike out, the kid( justin) traded a truck he had for it, and i was the one who got it running, he rode it for awile, only owned it for about a month now, and i bought it 2 days ago..... ill figure it out tonight, im just gonna rip out the engine and rebuild the beast with welded crank and a bigger bore, i want to take it out to a 400+ though..... decisions decisions. whatever the case it will be done by july 20., thats what i decided. later wade
  20. thanks for the info, i was going to take off the clutch cover, but i didnt have time and was in a crappy mood, and i dont work on stuff when im not happy, but ill try tonight after work, and if that dosent work, im just going to take it down all the way, later wade
  21. ok, who makes a 400+ kit, i would like to take the banshee up to a 400-500cc range, dont have an arm and leg to spend though, i was figureing around 600 to spend rebuiding top and bottom end, all work done by the one and only...ME! i could spend a little more but i figure thats the budget after a decent set of pipes is bought, suspension is done, and all controls and plastics are replaced, later wade
  22. so when you weld a crank, what exactly do you weld? and what is truing it? just a couple questions cause i may have to have it done, later wade
  23. ok, so i picked up my banshee yesterday, with thoughts of it was running good, and 2 weeks ago it was, the kid rode it quite abit even with no brakes or anything, and when i took delivery of it i never even thought to try and start it, so this morning i take it to school and everyone wants to hear it run and whatnot, so i go to start it and all i hear is a clunk when i push down on the kickstart, then it seizing, so i put it into gear to see if i could comp. start it, but even in 6th at 4 guys full running and 300 pounds on the bike, the tires would not spin, just slide, who has a idea on what this could be? im fearing the worst, and im pretty sure its a split the cases fix no matter what, so i may wait a few weeks, and get some new pistons rings, etc, and do her up good, if i bore the bike .040 over and put on a coolhead, with some good reeds, how much will this help? cant afford pipes right now, unless i dont get the coolhead/other new head. what do you guys think, head or pipes, and what the hell is wrong with my bike. thanks wade
  24. well if cutting fenders is giving me 5-6hp then a sticker kit should give like 45-50 right? right now the bike runs rich, and has been run 32:1 for its life im pretty sure, when my friend( who i got it off of) got it from another mutual friend, he told us that it had a rebuild before he got it, and sat for about 4 years without running to much, i think that im going to pull the carbs tommorw, rejet, and clean them thourghly, but i may hold off on the rejetting till its ready to ride so i dont have to mess with it as much, plans so far is to get all the controls back in order, install a kill switch with some nerfs, and find the rest of the plastic to match, or get a whole new setup, and i still need to get a seat also, lots of ideas been brewhaha'in up in here. later wade ps, ive already installed a new airfilter(uni or twinair) i forget, and i found a dude that used to have a banshee and he gave me an airbox lid with holes and vents already drilled into it. then tommorow, im remountin the coolant overflow to the front of the bike
  25. money is an issue till june, then alot better in july, right now im working of stuff that i sell cause thats all the extra money i have, sold a 77 nova today to buy the banshee, ill try to get pics online sometime, but my comp is needed its h/d sweeped pretty bad, ill get pics as soon as possible, but before to much performance stuff, i need to get a set of brakes, and bars, and seat etc. later wade
