  1. stock needles do no come with the pastic washer. Thae washer adjusts the needle half way between grooves. So, no stock needles do not come with a washer. I think stock position is 4th groove from the top. May be third. Why did you take it apart?
  2. I'm gonna go back to the stock needles. I will let you know in a few days how it works. Stock reeds, no airbox. Thanks Brian G
  3. br9s are a hotter plug. i think?
  4. '04, TR-6's, Toomey 2:1 high flow air kit w/outerware, 280 main, stock pilot(25,) toomey needles 4 clip from the top, air screws 2.5 turns out. Klots 40:1. Michigan, 600ft above sea level, 50 today. I imagine it will only get worse as it warms up. My low end sucks. Mid to top end is great but low end is boggy. I played with the jetting when I first put the pipes on and no matter what I did the low end wasnt there (290 mains, 30 pilots.) Low end was better stock.... Any suggestions? Other than do a plug chop. My plugs are good at wot. Any way to test the jetting at low end other than throttle response? What if I go with a smaller pilot to lean it out? bad idea? Thanks in advance
  5. the top half of the kickstart fell of and I lost the spring and ball. I went to the dealer and they had the O-ring and ball but no spring. Anyone know what I can take apart to get the spring or where I can find one?
  6. has it gotten warmer? Might be the weather. Where are your air screws? Turn them out to lean up the low end. CHECK YOUR PLUGS!
  7. I've got the t-6's. Stick with what toomey says ans shee will scream! I run T-6's with the silencer, 280 mains, stock pilot(25), clip on the fourth groove from the top, 2.5 turns out, and 40:1 Klotz. T-6's are a mid to top end pipe. The low end sucks but, when you hit the power band shee will rip your arms off. My buddy has fattys. He gets me off the line and I catch him on the top. Dead race. Depends on what you want I guess. Tommeys sound way better than anything else.
  8. Thats what the books says. I run BllRay Gear saver 80 weight.
  9. It is natural for all pipes to blue. Except ceramic coated pipes. They are not as shiney as stainless or chrome but, they wont blue. I think the frst 2-3 inches of the pipes being blue looks cool.
  10. thanks for the replys. I unplugged the box under the left cylinder. Good to go!! Thanks
  11. when you unplug them, the bike wont idle. I'll splice them togeather and let you know.
  12. I flipped my shee tonight and bent the bars all up. Now she wont run past an idle. I know its the tors. Is there anyway to bypass tors without getting the kit? A buddy told me if I splice the yellow and black wires togeather, I will be good. Anyone heard of this? Thanks
  13. I just added T-R6's and a 2:1 air kit. Half of the ceramic is dark tan and the other half is a few shades lighter. Am I running lean or am I right on? TR6's 280 main 25 pilot air screw 1.5 turns out
  14. thats one big F'n freezer
  15. sorry sredish, typo. 280 mains, 25 pilots, air screw 1.5 turns out. Does nayone have a link to a good photo of a properlly jetted machine? mine are a light greyish brown on one half the ceramic and a bit lighter on the other.
  16. Anyone have any photos of a correctlly jetted plug? Mine are tan, too lean?
  17. sounds like a jetting problem. How is your compression? What are you running? ie. pipes, airkit?...
  18. I was running too much oil 24:1. Changed to 32:1 2R. Runs like a rape ape now :flame:
  19. 100 feet WOT is plenty for a plug cut. Thats gotta piss you off. Trade ya for my stock kehins
  20. The best reed/powervalve?
  21. I went back to what Toomey suggested for TR6's. 180 mains, stock pilots(25,) and their needle 4th groove down. Called Toomey and finally came up with the oil ratio. I was running what the manual calls for, 24:1. Toomey told me to run 30:1 2R. Shee rips now. :flame: All that re-jetting work for nothing. I guess I did learn allot though. Thanks
  22. no air box, just a foam filter with outerwares
  23. 04 banshee, Toomey t-6's, 2:1 high flow air kit, 290 mains, 30 pilot, clip on the 3 groove down from the blunt end, 2.5 turns out. Yamalube 24:1. Shee bogs from idle to 1/4. I have been playing with her for the last three days. This seems to be the best but, still not as responsive as my buddys 03 with FMF fattys 280 main, stock needle 3rd groove, 27.5 pilots. Am I running my premix too rich? Anyone have similar mods that can give me what they run? 40-60 degrees Michigan. Later
  24. I just put T-6's on my stock 04 banshee. They are bad ass. I am having some issues with the jetting or so I thought. Shee bogs on the low end but comes to life about 4k rpm. They are hands down the best pipes if you ask me. I have a video of the pipes in action but the clip is 15 meg. Tell me where to upload it and then you can see.
  25. I put on the Performance kit #3 from Toomey. Pipes, silencers, and high flow air kit with no air box.
