Did you check your coolent level? I was thinking maybe your head gasket is damaged allowing coolant into the smoking cylinder

What size jet did you start with. What size jet did you put in. did you synch your carbs right. If you search in the jetting and exhaust forum enough you will find plenty of info to help you. I sounds like you also need to properly adjust your air and idle skrews. let us know how you are making out. Also i would try larger not smaller jets

Amsoil is the cleanest burning i've used holyman mixes 80:1 with no problems i mix it 50:1, I just sighned up to be an amsoil dealer it only cos $15 for six monthes cases of dominater are $92 dealer cost and gallons are $25 dealercost. If anyone would like to become a dealer or order some oil (any amsoil product) just pm me i'd be glad to help any hq member out.

I just put mine on this weekend also. I replaced a set of pro circuit platinum's. I would say thay sound almost identical to the pc's but louder. i gained more power evenly all around. more revs the whole nine. In 6th at about 3/4 throttle you can hear the exhaust whistling through that huge expansion chamber. I'm happy with the product and the service thanks minkia38

If you end up replacing the the swingarm bearings you might consider replacing the roller with a chain slider

Just my input for anyone thinking about it, Ive had it for about 2 months overall i like it. it helps to keep the air filter clean so you not spending time after every ride cleaning and reoiling. I think it looks more impressive than it actually is though. I was running a K&N with a oiled outerware and no lid which worked good, But you still have to change the outerware after every ride which means your using more oil and it costs $. when you get it it comes pre oiled so you just slap it on and since i ran no lid it didnt change jetting,It does however come with a recommended jet for stock application. you have to put velcro along the outside edge of the lid for an outerware my velcro came unstuck in the front part where it would catch the wind the most. so it could use some improvement to the design. As for power gains I didnot notice any obviously but a stocker might notice mild gain.It cost 120 bones for that price it should have a better design for the outerware.But the protection it provides is great and you con tell when it is dirty because the outerware has a K&N logo that shows through as a clean spot on the lid itself. sorry for being long winded jus thought this might help anyone interested.

The kenda knarlies look like a nice tire i havent known anyone who has them yet though. I run on hard pack mostly and like my turf tamers but when the time comes i'll probly get the razr 2 just for somthing differant you cant go wrong with stock 400ex tires i know guys that wont ever switch from them. as for fronts i think maxxis offers some nice choices i just got rid of my stocks for a set

Damn smokin how the hell do you keep balance in a powerband while shifting. I always stay in the same gear i started the wheelie in. Mine will pull them up in 5th, I almost think its easier to ride them the faster your going. when i dumped it i was in 2nd i think, I was trying to keep it at the balance point, I should have just hung on for the ride but i freaked out for some reason and let go. have'nt dumped it since, and im much more comfy on 2 wheels now.

Before you get rid of those turf tamers you should consider grooving them.shave off evry other row of nobbs or checker them or V groove em somthin. I love my turf tamers on every thing but mud. I've never had a problem hooking up even in snow. But save yourself some money and try it you will probly like the results.
