ya, i'll try what banchetta said first because the oil is not as white as the first time i changed it. Its seems to be getting darker the more it is changed, so i'll do the flush first and hope that does the trick. thanks for the help

yep, I just changed my oil and it is also milky white. I put new in and just checked it and this is milky white also. Not sure what I need to check to fix this and is it something that will hurt anything.

The banshee is running awesome, but the spark plugs keep coming unthreaded from the head. Has anyone else had this problem and what can I do so they won't keep coming unthreaded? all of the threads are good and i tightened the plugs down, but they still come out after a while. Just wondering what is causing this and how to fix it? thanks for the help

thanks boonman, i think that is what happened then. I was wide open in sixth gear and pulled the clutch in and left it in while downshifting and that is when it happened. I never knew that is what caused it, so thanks for the help.

I got everything put back together and it was running great, but after a little while the exact same thing happened. I took everything apart again and the rod and ball are welded together. I put about 1.8 quarts in. I'm just wondering if I should be putting more fluid in so I can keep this from happening again. Also, is the yamalube 4 10w30 ok to use. All help is appreciated because I really don't wanna take everything apart a third time. thanks

I have a 98 banshee with FMF fatties and powercore II silencers, pro-flow intake no lid. aftermarket head. reeds and spacers and I think the cylinders are also bored. I am running 300 mains, 27.5 pilots and the needle is in the stock position. It seems about perfect with this jetting, but has a little off idle bog. I am just wondering which way I need to move the needle to fine tune it. thanks

what kind of pilots did u put in. I don't know if I wanna go 27.5 or 30

i've got fmf fatty gold series pipes and silencers, a pro design air intake w/lid removed, an aftermarket head and I also think there is some internal engine work done. I'm running 280 mains and stock pilots. The quad runs awesome but it doesn't take off as quick as I would like. Just wondering if I should go up to a 27.5 pilot jet. thanks for any help.

I was also wondering about putting an automotive tach on my banshee. Just not sure if it would work or not.

the plastics may be sold, but if not you're next. I don't have any pics, but there are no crack or breaks. Just a few scratches. They are in good shape

Thumb Throttle is sold Front and rear tires are still available, rears are really good shape fronts kinda wore The plastics are still available-race cut front white, rear white, blue tank and radiatior. $50 for all and I can ship them if interested.

does the clutch cover gasket have to be replaced because mine still looks like it is in really good shape. Just wondering if I should replace it.

ya, the ball is welded to the end of the rod and the clutch adjuster. does this mean that i need to buy a new rod, ball and clutch adjuster?

The clutch lever on top of the motor is now free and rotates smoothly. I'm just wondering what I need to do about the rod and ball now. am I correct that the ball should be free of both sections of the rod. any help is greatly appreciated.

ok, I took the clutch springs and the clutck plates off. Tell me if this is right. Is the rod 2 pieces. There is the threaded small part, then the ball, then the other long part of the rod. I pulled this out as all one piece. the ball is welded in between these 2 pieces. I'm just wondering what I need to do next. also, what should the other end of the rod look like. I'm just wondering where my problem is at because I still can't move the clutch lever that is on top of the motor.

ya I haven't taken it apart yet, but It is like the clutch shaft is totally engaged (all the way in). there is a lot of slack in the cable, but the cable is in good shape. I'll know more when I get it apart, but I'm hoping that it is just a clutch basket or clutch problem. I'll let ya know more when I get it apart. thanks

Banshee is running great. I was riding today and everything was fine and went to downshift and pulled the clutch in, but it is like something is froze up or something. The banshee still drives great and it will still shift up and down, but you can't use the clutch. Should I drain all the fluids and check everything out. I've never did any clutch work and am not really sure what I need to do. any help would be appreciated

I did a search and really couldn't find much on it. Is it a good idea to put a fuel filter on a banshee, or isn't it really needed. any help would be appreciated.

I would like to maybe try some cross country racing this summer. I live in southern michigan. Does anybody know of any races for a beginner in ohio, michigan, or indiana. Also, how well would a banshee fare for this type or racing?

I want to put a twist throttle on my banshee. Could I just buy something like a warrior twist throttle and just replace the upper cable and then that way I could leave the TORS on and I wouldn't have to worry about installing the idle kit as well. It seems that this would make for a much easier install. Just wondering if this would work. Any info. or ideas are appreciated.
