  1. 14-44 is what I would run with 22s. Like I said I do have buddies that are running 14-43 and 14-44 setups. But you pick what you like. I know from doing this myself that a 13 is not good on the slide. I too have a 99.
  2. The sound difference is not too bad. I took my air box off for better accesablity. It gives you more room. When removing the air box you will need a resivor bracket.
  3. Throw a long rod kit in there, if you are getting the crank done. I wish I did that before I had mine done. Now it is going to cost me a lot more. A little stroke would be nice, but sounds like you don't do too much racing mostly playing. Just my 2cents
  4. Do not use a 13. Use a 14-44+ set up. The 13 is bad on the chain guide up front. Also watch the rear skid plate. The chain may hit if the rear sprocket is too big. I have a buddie that is running 22s you should be fine with 14-43.
  5. Yes it makes a different sound. Instead of a bAWWWWWW sound It wil make a Baaaaaa sound. The air box acts as a sound chamber much like a speaker box. To air box or not to air box that is the question.
  6. 260 to 290 is richer in fuel. That should have not helped the fouling. As for the loose spark plug. That is an iffy question. I have had a plug back out and it did not toast the piston. I have heard of other people say that it has happened to them though. My thoughts..... Its broke now so fix it. Install forged piston. They are better then cast. I have toasted 2 cast pistons before. The porting will be a big difference. Make sure you use a good shop for this. There are different types of porting also. I mean different steps. Play, Drag ect. For your first Jetting after porting I would let a shop get you close. That is a lot of money to blow on a guess. After porting mine for Play port, I installed 330's. My carbs were stock and not borded out. Good luck. Supergrzz
  7. Check and make sure you have the right bowl on the right side. This happend to me. Look at both bowls real close and you will see a brass ball down at the bottom of the inside. This bowl goes on the choke side carb. Also make sure you have the slides in correctly. You need to be able to see the intake side of your carbs to make sure they come all the way down. I have done that also. I try to get things done to fast. LOL The bowl thing was the one that got me good. This is for stock carbs. Supergrzz
  8. I got a set of 35 pkw's and would like to know what slide should I use for a mild ported 350 on gas. I have a 6 in them now. Thanks SuperGrzz
  9. I am tring to find out if I can use a set of carbs that I picked up for my banshee. I got two stock 34,s from honda 250R,s they are the same type and same year. Could I use these? I do not see why if I rebuild them. What do you think???
