the hills here will mostly be quarry`s, gravel and sand mainly. i was thinking about the wideness more for mx racing, i just want to go wide open round all the corners and have less chance of the bike tipping. the +2+1 and 4+1 offset wheels sounds good so far.

for mx racing and hill climbs what would you go for? long travel or regular 2+2/1+2? i like my toys to be wide! but i dont really know much about the long travel stuff.

ok, i know i had a post on quicksand a arms, swinngs and there products but i was flicking through the k&k website and saw "gibson" a arms and some other products. i was wondering what you guys thought about gibson? are they better than quicksand? better on a banshee as its "long travel"? what the difference between long travel and normal +2+2, +2+1 etc products? thanks in advance, tithead

some of the pubs RSTB and i drink in: stair arms hotel - cos all our friends go down there and there is 1 or 2 nice barmaids/waitress`s down there (just ask nighty!) the tower - for a nice quiet pint, its in a very small village so if we want some peice and quiet we go down. the goblin hall - if we want to have a few games of pool while the jute box is blaring good tunes thats the place to go! and great for a stop while out riding as its right at the foot of the hill trails! (just ask nighty again!) if wer up for a great full on night out, into edinburgh is THE place to go, and people wonder why its called the 24 hour city! (and again, just ask nighty!) there is others but these are the pubs/places we mostly go to.

it was rare_scottish_tree_badger`s (RSTB) first outing on his "new" second hand banshee. we left here at about 11:30pm this evening and decided to race down to the pub as last orders were getting close. all went fine on the way down apart from speeding through a speed camera and the small police chase we caused on the way back we decided to take back roads as we were told from a "source" the police were at a very close by layby. about 1/5 of the way home we hit the single track roads. harehope opened up his banshee and i decided to follow after a 4 seconds delay of heating my hands from exjaust fumes. we got about 100 ft along and i hung back. i was praying that RSTB would slow down for the corner and for a minute it looked like he did but after i opened my eyes again from blinking i saw him hitting a holly bush hedge and the quad cart wheeling along the grass verge. i was quite a bit behind so i gunned it to see if he was ok. as soon as i got there he got up, walked over, and burst out laughing! he wasnt hurt, the bike isnt hurt which is lucky but im still convinced there was some sort of wall at the hedge that stopped him from flying over into the feild of cows. oh well, we`r laughing about it now! i supose the crash wouldnt have been so bad if he had proper lights on his banshee, instead of a 12volt hand lanp conected to a 12volt battery that was sitting between his legs. we`r going back tomoro to look for the battery.

im well up for it!!!!!! but its the getting over to you guys with my shee thats the problem.
