  1. I dont have a pic of it but it is a 1997 comeletely stock banshee. Only thing new is new tires, front new stock and back new holeshots. Other than that it stock. Does $2000 seem reasonable? BTW I live in TN. Also, I sold my old shee on here last year, here is the link... http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...topic=21689&hl= If anyone knows who has it could you PLEASE let me know. All I know is that he came from PA and I think his handle was KoolJohn or somthing like that. I would just like to know if he would like to sell it back to me Christy
  2. Yamaha Banshee, ITP polished aluminum wheels, Holeshot tires, billet aluminum water pump cover, key holder, clutch cover, and brake fluid resivoir, Alba front grill, Alba tribal flame graphics kit, New UFO black fenders, UNI filter, DG front bumper, new chain and sprockets, twist throttle(due to the twist throttle it will not idle without giving it gas), aftermarket reed cages with aftermarket reeds, New NOSS HEAD with 19cc domes, FMF pipes and silencers, I am not sure of the year but it is a J-arm machine so I think it is prob a 88 or 89. This atv has never been titled to anyone according to the clerks office so I will issue a bill of sale at time of purchase (that is what I got when I bought it) Pictures can be seen further down in this thread, with a BIG thanks fo Ledofthezep Price is $2700 FIRM

  6. OH yea and when it dies you have to pull the choke out to get it to start again even if it is kinda warm...... I hope this helps with the diagnosis.
  7. When I got it, it already had the tors removed. It ran fine when I got it and the only mods I have don is a degree key and had the carbs apart to rejet it but ended up putting the jets that came in it back in. I dont know if the carbs being out of sink could cause this or not. I am unsure of how to check that since it dosent have the stock tors caps and in the clymers manual the directions refer to the tors caps.
  8. I have a banshee and have had it for about 2 months. It had mods when I got it and ran fine. Well I have done some mods of my own and now it dies all the time. When you give it gas if you dont rev it up it dies, I mean boggs even if you dont give it alot of gas to rev it high. I put a +4 degree key in and have taken the carbs apart and reed cages out to see what was in it. As far as I know all the carbs and reeds are back exactly like they were and also the air screws on the carbs seem to make no diff in the problem. I NEED HELP!! One thing I thought it might be is the carbs out of sink, I saw this in the Clymers book. I really have no idea how you can tell though. But if any of you have an idea as to how I can fix this plmk Thanks Christy
  9. I am looking for a polished aluminum 3 bar front bumper for my banshee. I like the ones at cascades but dont have $200 to spend. I am looking to spend aruond $100. The ones with the round tubes are ok but I really like the flat bar ones. If you have one to sell jlmk. Pm me or email me ckylesworld@aol.com Christy
  10. No I havent done a compression check but I am going to. Before it was 110 per side. I hope to have 150 or more now. Well I will let you know.
  11. I just got my Noss Head for christmas. Mine came with 19cc domes. After putting it on you can feel it shake with power when reving it up. Use to it only had power after the power band kicked in, now the power seems continous. Its great and a great innvestment. I LOVE IT!! And a big THANKS to David Noss for all the help Christy
  12. Want to buy 2 pilot jets size 30 for a banshee. Please lmk if you have any to sell. Thanks Christy
  13. I have a set of ported stock reed cages with TDR reeds to trade for billet gas cap, billet stator cover, billet 3 bar bumper or chrome rear grab bar for a banshee of course. Or if you have anything else jlmk and I might consider it.
  14. I am looking for a gas tank to go on my 89 banshee. I stripped one of the bolt holes out that had the threads already in it. My tank is perfect other than the stripped out bolt so I would like to buy one that is also in very good condition. If you have one to sell pm me or email me at ckylesworld@aol.com Thanks Christy
  15. WOW that link you provided is wonderful. That answered ALL my questions, now lets see if I can use my new found knowledge Christy
  16. I have an 89 shee and I took the carb apart to see what size jet was in it, I am pretty sure it said 200. Is this the stock size jet? When I got it the shee had fmf pipes and silencers. It ran fine but now I have added ported reed cages, +4 degree key and a K&N filter. So far I have only put the K&N filte and the degree key in, it seems to die out if you gap it, its like you have to rev it up. I have a know when I put the ported reed cages in it will be worse. Does anybody have any idea what size jet I should try. I would really like to try to get it right the first time. Taking those carbs off is a B@*#H! Christy
  17. Thanks Screamin, I looked in the clymers manual and it recommends 90 octaine on a stock shee. I have regular in it right now. I am getting a cool head for xmas and I am going to run race gas, do you know the best way to drain the gas without making a mess?
  18. I talked to a guy today at my local yamaha shop, I told him I was installing a +4 degree key and he acted like I would have to start running higher octaine gas (than regular) Is this a possibility? Christy
  19. I am about to order a Noss head for myself for christmas. But I would like to say that I have had to contact them and ask some questions. I highly recommend them. I have talked to David Noss MANY times and not always to do with his product. He has been OVERLY NICE and VERY helpful. This is the nicest costomer service I have EVER had. I just wanted you all to know this and I hope it influences someones choice on a cool head. I cant hardly wait to get mine! Christy
  20. I have a banshee that needs to be rebuilt. I am going to try to have it bored .20 over and was looking at denniskirk for new pistons. First of all I am not going to be racing or anything too harsh. They have wiseco pistons for $194.99 and they have a brand called WSM for $156.99 which they said was more like OEM. I was wondering if these would do for me. After the rebuild I am going to get a cool head and put 19cc domes on it. If anybody has any feedback on this plmk thanks. Christy
