I need 2 260 main jets for my 2002 banshee with stock carbs OR I need to know the cheapest place to get that stuff because I might need 2 pilot jets also, but I dont know what size yet. [email protected]

So according to fmf I should be at 260 on the main and 30 on the pilot. What is stock for a pilot? Would it probibly run good if I just up the main to 260 and do nothing else??

I just bought the bike last week, this is the way it came.

I havent checked them yet. It just came to my mind today to check on here about the main jet size. I will look. isnt if they have white on them it is too lean?

I have a 02 banshee, fmf fatty pipes and fmf power core II silencers. Stock filter with airbox snorkel removed, reeds (not stock, but not sure what is in it) and reed spacers. This is the way I got it. I had the carb off to fix a gas leak prob (turned out to be the float) and noticed that all it has are 200 main jets. I am at 1040ft above sea level. It seems to run fine, should I mess with it? It has never fouled a plug since I have had it. I mean I really dont want open a box of worms if it isnt necessary, it runs great right now. I just dont want to damage the engine either though. Christy

I had checked on prices here: oescycleworks.com and precisepolishing.net (from what I understand they are the same people) I was wondering if anyone had used them before or knows someone cheaper that does quality work. I do still need a billet gas cap, billet brake resivior cover and stainless radiator cover (preferably one with the luvers)

No, I have never had it in any water. I just got it on Sat. We pulled it on a trailier for 300 miles. It wasnt doing it when I left with it but when I got home it was. I think 300 miles of bouncing arround on a trailer contributed to it. Only think now (which existed before fuel problem, totally unrelated) When it is idleing and you barely give it gas it sputters and dosent go much, then you give it more gas and it just picks up. Is this the air screwo or what. Once you get past that part it flies, no problems at all. Christy

Well I fixed it. I just took the bottom of th carb off wiggled the floats up and down, sprayed some WD40 up in it to mabe loosen anything that might be up there loose. Put it back together and no more leak Right now anyway.

Well I turned the gas to ON and it started pouring out, I hit it with the back end of a screw driver several times to no avail. However I could not start it, it is too late at here it would wake all my neighbors up. I will try it agin tomorrow with it running. If that dosent work, what do I look for if I take the carb off? Are there any tricks to taking a carb off that has the TORS still on it. I have never done that before, my old shee already had the TORS removed and the carbs came off in a snap. I just dont want to tear anything else up christy

ok, I just went to look at it again. When you turn the gas to ON it is a continous drip out of the right side carb. We just got back from getting it so we hauled it on a bouncy trailer for 300 miles. I dont remember it doing that when we bought it so do you think the trip could have caused somthing? and if so WHAT?? Please help

It was dripping pretty good, mabe a 3 in circle on concrete in 30 seconds.

I just got my new shee today. It is a 2002 with fmf fatty pipes and power core II silencers. I took it for a short ride around my yard then put it in the basement because it was going to rain. When I pulled up to the door to put it in, my son says look its leaking. He was right it leaked some gas out of the carbs through the tube. IS THIS NORMAL? I hadnt turned it off nor turned the gas off yet, but I did once I got it inside. Please tell me if this if ok or what could be wrong. Thanks Christy

Well I've found a Banshee!!!! We are going to get it next Saturday. I wont sleep a wink all week attached is a pic of it!

I am looking for any year banshee in good physical and mechanical condition. No mods are necessary however a reasonable set of pipes on it would be great. I live in east TN so I would prefer one within a reasonable distance. Christy

Well I went and looked at it and the rims were beat up, the handle bars were crooked when you were going straight, front plastic was cracked, the on off switch didnt work, no front bumper.....etc. I am going to look at a 2001 Warrior this weekend for $2000, it has twist throttle, barnett clutch, ad nerf bars, ac front bumper, hand gards and the plastic from the pics looks like new. But I guess I will see when I get there. I really like banshees but it will be nice to have electric start, 4cycle and reverse. (for a girl its hard to start a kick starter all the time

Man, I think im going to be sick Oh well, off to another toy I guess.
