  1. When I was down at little sahara last year the other banshee guys were tripping on my carbs 34mm Mikuni Tmx saying they were cake to convert to alcohol. I was wondering would I have to do anyhting else to the engine like more port work or what. I want to make this engine full drag. Any suggestions would be helpful. Right now I'm running a trinity stage 4 head w/16cc domes, +5 degree timing, v force reeds, trinity stage 4 pipes and a bunch of other stuff mainly like bigger radiator and aluminum impeller and some other goodies.

  3. I love my twist throttle. I ride in all types of conditions and terrrain and have no problems. I guess it's like what everybody else is saying it's your own preference. I was just used to riding bikes all my life and am just better control wise with a twist. I just don't think thumb throttles are any fun because they didn't challenge you.
  4. I've never run castor927 but I hear it's good oil. I run bel-ray mc1 at 50:1 and in my opinion it is the best. Usually it tells you on the little bottle how many gallons of gas to mix with the oil and what the final ratio will be. Try to see if it's not posted on the label somewhere or visit the castrol website.
  5. In my opinion there is no quad better than a Banshee. I've owned a lot and none come close. Once you get past all the new 4 stroke hype you can't match the power and feel of the Banshee.
  6. I didn't have any problems whatsoever riding my banshee in the snow. I was passing my buddies on their 4x4's. The key is to stay on the gas and mount some good tires not the crappy stock or sport tires. I use either realtors reversed or gbc paddle masters because they are harder if you hit something they can take it.
  7. I have both a 03 predator and a banshee. If you want a contolable powerband the predator is easier to handle. As far as stock for stock the predator will wax a banshee and a yfz 450. The predator has a awesome top end compard to the yfz 450. I piped mine and raced a fmf equipped yfz 450 and ate him for breakfast. Don't believe everything you read in magazines. But still if you want arm wretching power after mods go for the banshee. 2 strokes are so much easier and cheaper to get more power.
  8. I used a set of geckos last year when I went to little sahara and they absolutely suck! I couldn't get any bite whatsoever. I ended up selling them and getting a set of turbo paddles 8 paddle which helped a little but not much. I run 22x11-10 10 paddle skat trak haulers on douglas black labels now because I like to jump and man what a difference. I recommend skat trak to anybody who asks about paddles.
  9. Clarke tanks are good but I have to warn you guys that when I got mine I was diappointed because with my low carmichal bend renthals they hit on the top of the tank so I couldn't turn. I ended up getting longer stem so I could actually ride. I went with a +2 burgard stem. The tank I got I had to drill out the bottom for the fuel valve, clean up all the extra plastic off where the two halves were molded together and you do have to cut the front fenders. They recommend you measure 12" from the rear of the of the front fender for the top and 11" on the bottom and cut it at a angle. Other than that I get a lot of compliments and ride all day at the dunes. Their # is (503)-829-2156
  10. Try Ebay. I got mine for $12 shipped to my door and it works great.
  11. I would check the basics like your kill switch and key switch. You may have a sliced wire or a loose connection. Try to borrow a kill switch and key switch from someone before you buy it. Try replacing the key first and check for spark. If no go replace the kill switch and check for spark. Try them each seperately then together. Also check to make sure your main wire from your harness to your coil hasn't come off and that you ground is also good.
