I am having to give up my Banshee. I wish I could keep it!! It has been ported/polished, milled head, 34 mm Kehein Carbs, Crank was welded for added strength. It has nerf bars, six pack rack, K&N filter, and I have 2 sets of tires, stock dirt and sand. It also has a twist throttle and a few other little things done. It has under 50 hours since new and about 15 since the motor work from SAMCOE in the San Diego area. It was dyno'd and tuned at over 62 hp just after the motor work and it broke it even better. I am in San Diego. I am asking for $4250 OBO. It is very fast. It has a green sticker till 2005. You can email me at [email protected] for more info. I also have most of the original parts that were pulled off. I will throw those in, or might sell them seperately.
I am interested. I am in San Diego with a 2002 Banshee with mods. Send me some more pics at [email protected]. Does it have any damage? Is the pink slip clear? Is it a stock 289 or was it originally a 6? How many miles?
What mods are done to the Banshee? A good synthetic oil is better than yamalube, I run 50:1 belray hr1, it runs great, and doesn't hurt the motor a bit.
If you ride hard and then come to a stop, it will spit out fluid sometimes, try doing a little cooling off riding before you shut the motor off, and it won't spit out fluid. After I rejetted mine, put pipes and filter, it stopped. Try that.
If you are in the san diego area, take it to samcoe. They do excellent work. There is also Alba, they have a range of different things. Cost depends on whether they do all the work or not.
