ive got some pro design intakes with no holes in them for the cross over tube that i might put on but i dont know what the effect of doing that would be...im wondering what the tube is for.i dont want to try it with out asking you guys

hello to all..i am new here..my question is must the cross over tube or boost bottle be in place on the intakes for the banshee to run right, any one tried this ?what is the purpose of this tube?i have intakes with no hole in the top i can use.
