i ahve a clean 87 that was woken up from a 10 year nap in someones barn that since then ive mooded and restored will sell for $2900. for more info email me at [email protected]. oh.. it has les then 1/2 hour on new pistons and rings, and a new clutch. all it needs is new rear brake pads.

i had the same prblem then i installed a ricky h.o. stator and and it makes the light a hell of a lot brighter then i went out to walmart and bout an offroad light kit for a truck made a braket then mounted those on my bars and hooked em up to te ricky and holy shit i can see forever...lol go with a ricky.

Twist Throttle Good Idea? Or Bad?

i loved my twist untill i went to an mx track then i hated it and bought a new thumb. ill sell anyone a good motion pro twist it just needs a throttle tube for $25pm if your interested -
i dont thier would be an leaking pomble never leaked before but if like sya the water pump gasket or somin was bad and it leaked alot of antifreeze that would not be good right?? now when i rebuild it should i hoen it or bor it over. and would my stock 87 crannk take the extra compression and what would happen if i ported it??

hey i still have evrything but the sticker and the handguards everyhting is in good conditon and i found an brand new black seat cover that says yamaha on it on my shelf. make me an offer.

i cant remember what the rings were gapped at but my dads friends helped me on the last rebuild. we didny hoen or bore the silinders we just put some new rings and pistons in and started riding. the break in he said just dotn go wide open and if you do back it back down immediatly afterward. so thats waht i did the first 10 hours then i just went all out. ive been using 93 octane gasoline wiht klotz r-50 premix. i dunno the jetting b/c im not to good with carbs. but im running dynoport pipes and silencers, boyeson power reeds and k&n air filter. also ricky h.o. stator. ithink taht s all the major motor mods. the last time i rebuilt the pistons looked like all black and little crator like things in the top of the piston. and on the right silinder near the exhaust port was all like dented or flatened. and this time the right silinder is what broke the ring again. anything else or more q's just ask. thanx alot guys. l8er.

well first off let me say that i love my shee..but.....i sick of it breaking down. yesterday iwent out riding my shee down the back roads after i put the new clutch in about 1/2 hour later it bogged and wouldn't kick over .. so i let it sit bout 10mins then i tryed kickin it over again. it kicked but didnt start and i heard a scrtchin noice on the right silinder s o it prolly the ring again. i just rebiult the top end bout 30hrs ago too. so what the f***. is this normal( rings blowning all the time??) and what can i do to prevent it. also does anyonm have any new .040 or .060 over pistons and rings they'de like to get ride of?? aslo people have been teloing me that th toomey 2 into 1 carbs etup is a good idea and inprover the powerband alot.. hopw much are those and wher can you get them.. sorry post is long but i just dont know what to do with it anymore. thanx l8er .

hey i bought some preesure lates and springs to change my clutch. I ve goten everything off down to the water pump impeller. icant get the side cover off so i can change the clutch. does the water upump imppeller come off before ican tak the side cover off or can i just leave it on. why wont the side cover come off?? and once i do get it off is their any easy way todo do this.. i heard that you hold the cluch with your hand then take an impact to the 5 bolts and take them off. but do you have to unhook the clutch cable before you do all this.. if anyone know where i can get a step by step proceedure for free?? let me know thanx l8er.

hey the plastics are 98... since that pics ive upgraded the pipes to dynoport wiht dg type 2 silencer. hey taht is a sweet 87 you had screemin banshee. my 87 look almost identical to yours. ive repainted the j-arms and the swingarm black. im debating wether to cut the fenders. what are th pros and cons to cuttin the fenders??? and the ties are holeshots they work vry good in every terrain even creeks, but they do not work the best in mud and snow. in spring and fall i throw the spider tracs on and shott some major mudd roosts.....im thinkin bout gettinf a trail port and some borind done to it.. would boring it out and porting make it worht less b/c i has only had 1 rebuilt in its life andit was just done about a month ago. it still has thestock bore in the cylinders!!thanx l8er

yea like smokin banshee i used a 2x4ans the front tire of a tractor.. it worked real easy. i figured this out bout a year ago when i wanted to ride relly bad and couldnt get the damn tire of the rimm i swear i tried evrything thne it just poppedinto my minf so i tryed it and damn that had to be the greatest thing ive evry thought of..lol

yea i i agre get a used shee. thier fastas hell for a cheaper price. also what is this with the california thing. are they outlawing 2-strokes. ive heard rumors bout it but what the hell is going on its like people are trying to kill a legend, something that has made a huge diff. in the sport.

OK i have some QUestions. 1. Is a cool head worht the money and how much does it improve the banshee and in what areas. 2. How do you adjust the timeing.. and what does adjusting the timing do?? 3.What r a good set of rear tires for trail riding and alot of dirt/paved road drag racing thanx any help would be apprieciated. l8er

15/43 i found it to be the best it has top speed and some good ratios for the trails.

Does anyone know how that klotz Nitro additve works?? its the kind you mix with the gas. does it burn up your motor?? does it give you more horse power?? l8er

the graphics are black and red and the twist throttle will work right now , iused it for a while. it just needs to be raplaced. also i am willing to trade for the ffollowing: rear brake rotor, new or newer clutch cable, or a complete clutch for a banshee that works good or better than new. or let me know what else you have.. thanx l8er

i have a few things for sale FMF silencers ( great condition, no dents ,little rust on the endsof the pipes.) LIKE NEW stock expansion chamber with midpipe footwells stock front bumper ( little dent on the right side from a rock) brand new banshee stickers that go on the rear fenders.(THe big stickers) motion pro twist throttle (exellent condition, needs throttle tube Like new stock handle bars (not bent, sanded and repainted.) acerbis handguards (black, like new.) ..............................MAke offer...................
