  1. A) compress spring clamp the shaft c) while doing all this you have to unscrew from one of the ends. there is a special tool that they sell that does most of the work for you here is the website were I got the info from, it shows you step by step info on how to rebuild your shock. peace homie http://www.ducatimeccanica.com/marzocchi1.html
  2. Damn, why so much? is the warranty transferrable?
  3. here are the pictures that show how much to grind off on the top. THe bottom shock mount will vary because with aftermarket arms like mine there is no grinding at all. The top is just a little grinding. I think it took me about 5 minutes total to do both sides. The red is about how much you have to grind off if any. If you have any questions post them here in case someone else might have te same question later on.
  4. tricked,w ill you take 250$ shipped?
  5. what is the rock guards?
  6. your best bet right now is posting a wanted ad somewere on the net for someonet hats local. If these guys are right about the 450 shocks not working too good on the 450's then thats even better. The guy I got mine from races the 450 in pro-production so he had 2 sets to get rid of.
  7. how much does he charge for something like that?
  8. uhmm spray the bolts with wd-40 about 1 hour before you start working on it. Once you have the caliper off then scrub the rotor with some sand paper and try toget any major grooves out
  9. its the stock rear shock and its just not doing what I want it to do. It bottoms out damn near any time I get over 4 feet of air. Im thinking of tightening the preload but I wanted to see what the price on the rebuild would be.
  10. Because on a YFZ450 they are at a totally diferent angle then on the Banshee. I got mine from Johny Hale and if any of you know who he is then well I shouldnt have to explain. I guess I wrote all this up for no reason seeing as to how I am getting doubts from everyone. Il give it 1 more day and then ill just delete everything. Sorry for wasting everyones time
  11. There was some minute grinding on the upper shock mount so the upper part of the shock body could clear and that was about the only modification needed. I run Janssens +2+1 mx tech a-arms. These shocks are very beefy and sturdy looking. The shocks themselves are about 1 inch longer then the works but the springs are shorter then the works. The ride height is about 1 inch higher. I must say that they are much better then my Works triples with rezies. I didnt even attempt to adjust them because the terrain we (upensmoke was there) were riding in would go from very fine sand to little bumps then to ruts and then to sharp turns. I can sayfor sure without adjusting them that they are much smoother then works. The ride height is raised about 1/2 to 1 inch but you dont even notice any difference. The bumps and mistakes were soaked up very nicely and it wasn't even coming close to bottoming out at all on some drop offs. The shocks are very much smoother and softer compared to the works and compared to the stock...well there is no comparison to the stock because they are just much better. If you are looking for a suspension upgrade and dont feel like dishing out 500$ for shocks then this is what you need. with a little grinding to the upper and lower shock mount you can have a set of very nice and adjustable shocks. You can pick up a set for abot 250-300$ plus shipping for these. I got lucky and picked up 2 sets for 400$ shipped but that was an extremely lucky and good deal.
  12. do it by eye until you get them close then adjust idle accordingly or use a feeler gage
  13. i think durablue sells them and the only downfall is that you cant go big on jumps with the probability of breaking them.
  14. werent they supposed to be released this week???
  15. your best bet is yfz450 shocks, cheap, adjustable and fit with little work look on ebay
  16. nevermind i got it
  17. so BansheeBrian, you think that bolting it on is strong enough for typical banshee abuse? I thought about welding but bolting is easier and cheaper in my case.
  18. found outt he reason that oil was leaking around my kickstarter is that the seal was missing from previous owner I suppose. I have the new seal in hand but I have no idea how it is supposed to go on. I put it on the shaft but the case cover wont go on. any help?
