mine did that and it turned out to be the needle bearing on the arm that the cable attaches to might want to check that

i have a rz motor and was wondering if i could use the sprocket countershaft in my banshee ,are these interchangeable?thanks

i thiink yamaha put them there for a reason i would replace it ,if not its someting else that could go wrong .Hell there only a few dollars make it rite the first time .

are you shure its the key mine did that and it was the stator ,but i could be wrong.
